Rihanna’s outfit at last night’s Costume Institute Gala at The Met was mean to catch your attention and it did! Y’all can act like you’re not feeling this get up all you want to…but I can already feel the wave of 80’s babies searching the net for shoulder pads as we speak. Hell if Sara Jessica Parker can go from a 80’s ‘square peg’ to a Sex and the City fashion icon, I guess Rihanna can do vice versa…
Ciara hit up Good Morning America today where she performed “Never Ever” live on stage. She also hit up Regis & Kelly and has a scheduled performance on Saturday Night Live next week. Fantasy Ride hits stores tomorrow and CiCi is working overtime to get the word out.
If you missed today’s performances today, peep em both below:
Chicago Larry sent over this recent video of his visit to an America’s Next Top Model model call. In classic predator mode with camera in hand, Larry pounces on all the poor, innocent model wanna-bees. *sigh* I dunno what’s worse, the fact that creepy “A”zz Chicago Larry is pounding the pavement for new recruits or the fact that he has my email address.
Isn’t it obvious why I decided to post “Goodies” as todays flashback? It isn’t? OK I’ll explain: I did it because I want you guys to reminisce about way back when…to a time when y’all used to actually like Ciara so that you can go cop that album.
Usher got his own post so I guess it’s only fair that Tameka gets some shine today too. A friend of mine has a great blog that reveals her secrets to success and longevity in Atlanta’s music scene. She’s seen it all and has shared some of the most outrageous stories of her experiences coupled with what she’s learned from them. One of my favorites is a post she wrote about an experience she had working with Mrs. Usher:
That’s right…Tameka Foster, Glover, Raymond once made me cry on the set of a video for a short lived group called the ATL. We were already 3 hours behind and she was not allowing the group to get dressed because…hummm…her creative vision AS A WARDROBE STYLIST was being compromised! I believe that was the line she gave me! I was the second assistant director and my SOLE job for the day was to the get the Artists’ and the models to set, and of course they couldn’t get there… if they didn’t have their clothes on! I begged and pleaded with Tameka which seemed to only fuel her fire.
