Bow Wow got his paws wet yesterday at Planet Hollywood NY as he promoted the upcoming release of New Jack City II. As the miniature rapper left a caste of his hands to be held on display at the restaurant, he took a moment to discuss his good friend Chris Brown’s situation with OK magazine:
“I’ve been in a high profile relationship before and I know how it feels when everybody’s in your business. It just puts more pressure. And the only way they’re going to get over the situation is just to let them deal with it. And that’s what I really want to do. I’m praying for them both.”
Bow Wow, who says he hasn’t spoken to either Chris or Rihanna, says he couldn’t believe the horrifying picture that leaked on the internet last week, showing the singer with cuts and bloodied bruises on her face.
“Just shocking…I mean we heard what happened but we really didn’t get a visual for it. But I mean hey, man. The picture speaks for itself.”
Anywhoo…Bow Wow’s new video, “You Can Get It All” featuring Johnta Austin below:
It’s been at least 10 years since Dru Hill‘s last album dropped but the group has now reunited and has a new reality show in the works that will follow them as they attempt a comeback. Leading the pack is R&B legend and Atlanta resident Keith Sweat who has assumed the role of producer of the show documenting their efforts entitled “Platinum House.” Last night, the premiere party for Platinum House, held at Aquanox, and was attended by Vawn, Jazze Pha, Drumma Boy, Frankie, Sheree Whitfield and more. Even that lil boy from Tyler Perry’s House of Pain was there…at the club…partying with the grown folks…but I digress.

Flashback from the past! Dru Hill performs…
Sheree was doin it! I don’t care what y’all say about her…she’ll always be my 2nd favorite housewife!
Lisa Wu-Hartwell, NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield left their comfy confines of North Atlanta to make a trip over to the Eastside last weekend. The three Real Housewives of Atlanta paid a visit to Dekalb County’s South Dekalb Mall for a special panel discussion with host/moderator V-103′s Ryan Cameron.
The housewives event was orignally scheduled for 4:00pm Saturday but got a late start because all of the housewives had not arrived. By about 4:30pm Ryan finally took the stage and blamed Sheree as the late culprit. A crowd of about 200 fans cheered and screamed their names as they finally got started. Questions were prepared in advance, but the biggest revelation came when the trio announced that Season Two would finally begin filming on Monday (today).
Check out a few of the questions/answers addressed on the panel below: Continue Reading…
Watching the episode of Girlfriends where Joan Clayton breaks down because her fiance’ has been sent to war made me feel a little guilty. I thought I didn’t know any fighting men or women, couldn’t relate to what it must be like to wait and hope that your loved one returns intact.
Not too long ago, a very good friend I’d lost track of for a decade found his way back to me – from Kuwait. He’s a fellow ATLien who is far far away from home. Below is an edited transcript of his Old School Atlanta Memories (O.S.A.M.) interview:
