I live in City of Marietta very close to this bar and I love the area because it is diverse both racially and economically. In my almost ten years in the Atlanta area, I've lived half time in the city (East Atlanta and Midtown) and half time in the northwest subburbs (Marietta, Woodstock, Canton). I'm not defending the abundance of pricks in Cobb County, but it's kind of ridiculous to lump a whole county full of people under one umbrella. To say that there aren't rednecks or racism 15 minutes away in Atlanta is hilarious, because I know for a fact that there is plenty of both. This whole region is teeming with racism and ignorance, not just Cobb County, not just Atlanta. The ironic thing about the location of this bar is that it's not in East Cobb or whatever hated part of Marietta you and others like to imagine, it's in the heart of the Mexican and section 8 neighborhoods. The thing that REALLY pisses me off is that this guy has had racist shit about immigrants on his marquee for months and months and no one spoke up about it until now. It's really sad that the Hispanic community here has to sit around and be publicly outed because some redneck who wouldn't want their jobs anyway has something to say about it.
