Rap legend Doug E. Fresh is next up on the foreclosure train.  Y’all betta recognize…this economy ain’t NO JOKE!  Fresh, known for 80’s hits such as “The Show” and “La Di Da Di” (w/Slick Rick) has been hit recently by 3 (yes…THREE) foreclosure actions by banks looking to collect on over $3.5 million in unpaid mortgages on a trio of his Harlem homes.

The rapper, 46, also is being chased by American Express for nearly $60,000 in credit-card debt, and the IRS just slapped him with a $367,000 tax lien on top of more than $40,000 owed to the state tax collector, records show.

The golden-voiced rapper, whose real name is Douglas Davis, grew up in Harlem. After his skill at vocally imitating drumbeats and percussion sounds made him famous in the 1980s, he stayed in the neighborhood, investing in local real estate and raising five sons.

He fell behind in payments and, according to a foreclosure suit filed in Manhattan in late August, 2008, he now owes more than $1.73 million.

Davis is putting the finishing touches on Doug E’s Chicken and Waffles, a new Harlem restaurant slated to open next month.

He declined to comment on his woes. (Source)

Meet the women of Craigslist. Terri Confer, 55; Carla Fortner, 44; Annie Walker, 43; Jennifer Adams, 22; Cheri Phillips, 53; Deborah Ingram, 42; were all arrested following a six-week investigation of Craigslist.  These women were offering several “erotic” services via the popular website and were directing customers to a home in a quiet community in Cherokee County, Georgia.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators seized $15,000 in cash, a laptop computer, marijuana and heroin while executing a search warrant at the house, which advertises its services on Craigslist.com.

Two customers were at the house at the time, but were not immediately charged, the sheriff’s department said.

Arrested were: Terri Confer, 55, of Woodstock on charges of pimping and keeping a place of prostitution; Cheri Phillips, 53, of Woodstock, on felony charges of possession of heroin and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute; Annie Walker, 43, of Kennesaw, on charges of masturbation for hire, unlawful massage and giving a false name to law enforcement; and Deborah Ingram, 42, of Kennesaw, Carla Fortner, 44, of Dallas, Ga., and Jennifer Adams, 22 of Acworth, all on charges of masturbation for hire and unlawful massage.
