Rihanna’s outfit at last night’s Costume Institute Gala at The Met was mean to catch your attention and it did! Y’all can act like you’re not feeling this get up all you want to…but I can already feel the wave of 80’s babies searching the net for shoulder pads as we speak. Hell if Sara Jessica Parker can go from a 80’s ’square peg’ to a Sex and the City fashion icon, I guess Rihanna can do vice versa…

The gory photo showing Rihanna’s bruised and battered face has surfaced online and LAPD has launched a full investigation as to how the photos were leaked. The department issued a statement last night that said the photograph ‘has the appearance of one taken during an official domestic violence investigation’ but will not confirm the photos are authentic due to their duty to protect the confidentiality of the victim. (LAPD Statement) The pics have spread like wildfire but my only question is how was Rihanna’s pic leaked but there is still no sign of Chris Brown’s mugshot?

Rihanna got sick while onstage with BFF Chris Brown in Sydney, Australia last week. The moment was captured on video as Rih-Rih clutched her belly and ran offstage in pain.  

The Bajan beauty was performing at Sydney’s Acer Arena when she appeared to be in physical pain after being lowered down to the stage by a harness. The star’s beau Chris Brown had joined her on-stage for a rousing rendition of their remix to her smash hit Umbrella – a track named Cinderella – when she had to flee the stage to seek medical attention.

Fans became frantic as Brown was forced to finish the show’s finale alone. But spokesperson Amanda Silverman denies rumours the star fainted behind the scenes – insisting she was just hot and needed to rehydrate,

“It was very hot at the venue, so after Rihanna’s set was over, she went off stage and needed to sit down, catch her breath and have some water.”  (Source)

Word is…the singer is fine and continued her tour the next day. It’s possible that she was simply suffering from dehydration OR maybe Rihanna’s pre-show consumption of  hard-boiled eggs + “fire hot” crunchy cheez doodles is causing her a few intestinal problems.  Makes my tummy hurt just thinking about it…

Rihanna was spotted at the Gucci Fashion show in Milan where she was taking in the line for Spring/Summer 2009.  Ri Ri was working an all-black look similar to the one she rocked during the MTV awards and her makeup was FLAWLESS!

Rihanna will also try her hand at designing soon.  She and Gucci designer Frida Giannin are in the process of designing a gown for a collection that Rihanna, herself, will be promoting.   The “Disturbia” singer will also be appearing in Gucci’s “Tattoo Heart” ad campaign this holiday season.

Rihanna was spotted rocking what appears to be an engagment ring while on making the rounds in London, England.  Rih-Rih was photographed leaving the BBC Radio One studios earlier today (September 23) sporting a grey dress underneath a black coat with a black, white, and red scarf, black leggings, and a pair of lace-up heeled ankle boots.  

Despite the recent rumors that she’s in trouble financially, Rihanna says that she’s been keeping an extra-close eye on her business affairs, and that she’s staying on top of it:

“You can’t get away from the business side. It takes over. The minute you get into the business side, it becomes you. I get business reports all the time because it’s my money. And I stay on top by living it, breathing it, thinking about it every day and every night.”

Yes…I guess getting married is step one for her financial security.  I wish she and her “brother” Chris the best.

The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards aired last night and T.I. performed “Whatever You Like” in the MTV backlot.  He moved on to the mainstage where he and Rihanna performed “Livin Your Life” for the first time live!  Check out the video: (more…)

Rihanna was spotted out and about in West Hollywood yesterday.  Word on the street is that she and Chris Brown are about to shack up.  

 ”She and Chris want to live together… They play their music loud though, so they want a condo that’s soundproof.”

Ah how romantic! Other reports claim the couple are now engaged as Rihanna was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.

How interesting…I wonder if she was house hunting?
