President-elect Barack Obama met with the four living members of the U.S. presidents’ club yesterday (George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter). The image above will forever be hailed in history books as every living U.S. president came together at the White House for a “power lunch” to hash over the world’s challenges with the president-elect. This is the first meeting of its kind since the days of President Ronald Regan.  Check out the AP news coverage below:

Kevin Liles, Mary J. Blige, Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Jay-Z and Beyonce all united for Barack Obama in Columbus, Ohio.  The rally was energetic and charged and made me wanna go wait in line AGAIN even though I voted last week.  We can’t beat you over the head enough.  Like Jay says, “We have the numbers. We want to be on the right side of history…it’s up to you guys!”

OCTOBER 8–Angered by a delay in the receipt of his voter registration card, a Louisiana man today threatened to shoot election officials, claiming that he urgently needed to cast a ballot to “keep the nigger out of office,” according to police. Wade Williams, 75, was arrested this morning on a felony terrorizing charge after allegedly calling the Registrar of Voters and warning that he would come to the state office and empty his shotgun unless he got his registration card. Using profanity and racial slurs, Williams told a state official “about needing to vote to ‘keep the nigger out of office,” according to an Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office affidavit, a copy of which you’ll find here. Though the document does not name the candidate to which Williams is so violently opposed, it seems likely he was referring to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. After being arrested at his Monroe home, Williams was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center, where the above mug shot was snapped. En route to the jail, he “continued his ‘tirade’ about niggers and also stated that he had a shotgun, but had it hidden at his residence,”  (Source)

In Diddy Blog #27, Sean “Diddy” Combs reveals that he’s more afraid of John McCain than he is of Sarah Palin.  During last night’s debate, McCain referred to Obama as “That One” and Diddy can’t take it anymore. He says he’s headed to the polls RIGHT NOW!  I also peeped this video clip of McCain snubbing Obama’s handshake after the debate.  What are your thoughts?  Was McCain’s actions last night disrespectful, racist, both or neither??

Barack Obama inspired fashion hit Paris runways during the Spring 2009 shows at Paris Fashion Week. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Sonia Rykiel, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte and Stella McCartney were among several designers promoting the Democratic nominee on the runways of their shows.  BTW…there were no signs of McCain wear.  Go figure…

This video is hilarious!  Leave it to The Simpsons to foresee the problems of the future.  In this unreleased episode, Homer Simpson attempts to vote for Barack Obama but the machine wouldn’t let him.   I wonder how many of us will experience this same scenario come November.   All I know is…you better go tell the first time!

Queen Latifah sat in as Gwen Ifill and of course Tina Fey was back as Governor Sarah Palin.  SNL is fast becoming THE PLACE to be on Saturday night.  Their political parodies are hilarious and can’t be beat!

“We would like to remind our audience that due to the historically low expectations for Governor Palin, were she simply to do an adequate job tonight, and at no point cry, faint, run out of the building or vomit, you should consider the debate a tie,” Queen Latifah’s moderator said in her introduction. 

The funniest part of this week’s skit?  When Tina Fey (as Sarah Palin) brough out the flute and asked about the talent competition!  :lol:
