Check out this mugshot of Dr. Jan Adams.  Dr. Adams is the Plastic Surgeon who is currently under scrutiny in the death of Dr. Donda West, Kanye West’s mother.   Dr. Adams is a well known Dr. in the Beverly Hills area and has even appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show discussing Before and After plastic surgery results.  Besides his appearances on Oprah, Dr. Adams was the host of the Discovery Health channels “Plastic Surgery: Before & After” series.

Most recently, it has been disclosed that Dr. Adams has had several brushes with the law for drunken driving arrests and also has faced losing his medical license due to the charges against him.

Records show Adams has had a checkered history that includes malpractice suits, two alcohol-related driving arrests and a recommendation by the Medical Board of California to revoke his license.

In a complaint filed with the state of California on Apr. 10 by David T. Thornton, the executive director of the Medical Board of California, the body sought to revoke, or at the very least suspend, Adams’ medical license following several instances of behavior unbecoming a member of the medical community.

Per the complaint, Thornton cited in detail two separate drunken-driving arrests, both of which Adams pleaded no contest, as well as an additional instance of Adams losing control of his vehicle for a 2002 collision with a parked car.

 Kanye West’s mother, Professor Donda West, died last night in Los Angeles, California.  The cause of death has not been released.  

Donda West, the mother of hip-hop star and Chicago native Kanye West, died early Sunday in Los Angeles.

She was 58.

The former English professor at Chicago State University also was her son’s manager and the chairwoman of the Kanye West Foundation.  (Chicago Tribune)

Kanye was apparently in London when notified of her death and is in route to L.A. as of this writing.  Our sincere condolences go out to Kanye and his entire family.
