I dropped a hint on Twitter yesterday that quite a few people took note of. In case you missed it:

Somebody just told me some tomfoolery is going on at Fulton County Courthouse. Those papers shoulda been stamped & filed by now. Friday, June 12th 4:54pm

Well, a source informed me a few weeks ago that Usher’s divorce papers were in the works and swore me to secrecy. The same source called me yesterday confused as to why the papers hadn’t been released and expressed concern as to how someone inside Fulton County could block public documents from being revealed. After a marriage, 2 kids, 3 stepkids and major flop….Usher says he wants his swagger back. Pharell Williams recently discussed Usher’s upcoming “Monster” project and has even dropped a hint that the old Usher is no more.  Usher’s previous album, “Here I Stand” technically ushered in a more mature, grown up, and ‘man handling his business as a husband and father” kinda vibe. But this time around, Williams says Usher is going for ‘mean and edgy’ and may be almost unrecognizable:

“It’s really great, it’s super edgy. He’s taken a lot of time to really sit and study and we really built something. It’s just, it’s mean.” ~ Pharell

In addition to his passion for music, Usher Raymond, IV is an art fanatic whose name was recently included amongst the six new Woodruff Arts trustees announced this week. Usher, 30, is the only entertainer on the 79-member board, and is its only member with a Web site where one can purchase limited-edition Armani dog tags (benefiting his youth charity).  The center hopes that Usher’s inclusion on the board will assist them in their goal of getting more youngsters interested in the art world. Usher has already joined the Woodruff’s education task force to assist in their efforts:

“I first and foremost would like to give more young people, who wouldn’t otherwise have the means, the opportunity to experience art programming at the Woodruff Arts Center,” he said in an e-mail. “I also hope to share new ideas that can combine art and service as powerful agents of change in Atlanta.” (Source)

Usher also recently announced that the new title of his upcoming CD will be “Monster”….no additional details have been released, but the the superstar has been grinding for months now in studios from Vegas to the ATL.  No word on a release date, but from the looks of the title Usher is planning on coming back HARD!    Can’t wait!

I’ve heard from a very reliable source that Mrs. Raymond is quite a bit peaved about this latest development and doesn’t seem to share in her hubby’s enthusiasm. She feels that Twitter will give “groupie chicks” more immediate access to Usher and she doesn’t like it one bit! Quite surprising since she’s on Twitter morning, noon and night begging for followers…

‘Tis the season. It’s getting hot and several celebs are getting rid of that extra baggage just in time for summer. Usher Raymond #4 and #5 were spotted on the beach in Malibu a few days ago minus Mommy Tameka, who was still here in the “A”…chillin. Am I the only one who noticed that Mr. Raymond hasn’t been rocking his signature custom designed wedding band? Hmmmm? *scratching head* Could there be trouble in paradise? Sources say Usher and Tameka have been living separate lives for quite some time now and it’s possible that he’s been spending daddy time with lil Cinco in preparation for joint custody arrangements. But you ain’t heard that from me…

I coulda posted a hot sexy picture of Usher with no shirt on but this one was so cute, I couldn’t resist. Usher and 17 month old Lil Cinco were spotted in Cali.  It’s always great to see a doting Dad taking care of his kid.

Usher is back up in the studio grinding with Jermaine Dupri after partying like a rock star in Paris last week. I’m assuming they’re putting their heads together to come up with a new and improved formula for the next album but first things first…Usher’s bringing out the old “U” chain for inspiration:

Tomeka Foster Raymond was spotted at Brazil’s Airport of Guarulhos yesterday headed home after recovering in a Brazilian hospital after her liposuction plans were spoiled. Mrs. Raymond spent 11 days recovering from cardiac arrest suffered immediately prior to undergoing the plastic surgery procedure. Her hubby, Usher left a few days earlier amidst speculation that he’s pissed off at Tomeka’s decision to have the surgery in the first place.

Reports have surfaced which claim Usher had no knowledge of his wife’s travel plans to Brazil and that he definitely didn’t approve of her having plastic surgery. It’s also being reported that Tomeka lied to Brazilian doctors about the timeframe of the birth of her last child claiming she’d given birth 4 months ago when in fact her son is only two months old.

I said it on Twitter yesterday and I ain’t ashamed to say it here too… I would be p*ssed “A”zz hell if I went in to have lipo, almost died and woke up to the same fat on my tummy! No joke. Life is precious and her decisions may have been flawed, but Tomeka faces the daily scrutiny from a hateful public. I’m not saying her actions were OK….but I understand.  I’m just glad she came out of this OK.
