In case you didn’t know or have simply forgotten, SouljaBoy Tellem (pictured above with DJ Webstar and Ron Browz) wants to remind you that he’s got PLENTY money! Got it? Good…now carry on.
Soulja Boy is no longer keeping quiet about the robbery that went down at his college park home on New Year’s Eve Eve. The youngster hit up Big Boy’s radio show in LA Friday (Jan 23rd) with the following explanation:
“Basically I was at my crib and I had my album release party at my club that night. I got back to my house at around 3 in the morning and I was in the studio recording. So two of my homeboys was in the living room and Me and Arab we was in the studio recording. And somebody kicked in the door.”
“One dude ran in put the AK to my homeboy head, put him on the floor,” he continued. “The other two ran in – my homeboy jumped in the other room – so the other two dudes ran back so I peeped in the door and they running through my house with Ks and pistols – so I ducked back. I really can’t dwell on what happened after that, but it was a messed up situation [and] I’m glad everyone made it out alive.”
As to why this is the first time SB is speaking on the incident, the teen rapper said it was because he wanted to protect his younger fans. “I really don’t want to dwell on the entire situation because of my career – my music is pointed towards the kids and I don’t wanna give them that bad image on what actually went down.” (Source)

I’m glad everyone’s OK too. It’s sad that thugs feel they can just TAKE what someone has worked hard for…
Soulja Boy Tellem made a special announcement online today stating that he is promising to portray a more positive image for the kids who look up to him:
What’s up, This ya boy Soulja Boy Tellem. I’ve got an announcement that I wanna make to all the parents out there whose kids are in love with me and all my fans who listen to my music. I just want to tell y’all that I apologize to all of the parents that have heard me say anything that they wouldn’t want their kids to hear coming from me.
Over the past few months, I’ve had a chance to meet a lot of my fans face-to-face and it made me realize that I’ve got a large fanbase of kids who look up to me. I realize now that I have a greater responsibility to the kids that want to be just like Soulja Boy. I need to set a positive example for them. I wouldn’t say a “role model” because I think that the parents or the guardians should be a kid’s main role mode but from now on, I’m gonna make sure that the kids who look up to me will get a positive image that the kids and the parents can trust.
Most celebrities try not to use the word “role model” but I don’t think I can help it though. When I meet parents and they tell me every city I go in ‘Soulja Boy my kids love you!’ I realize- you know – that I gotta do my thang…I gotta set a good example. I ain’t in no way perfect but I am clear that I gotta set a perfect example for all the kids that look up to me.
Wow…I feel like I’m being Punk’d right about now. Ashton…did you send me this email??
