I love this song! I know I’m a bit late on the draw but I’m only one person and it’s been a really hectic week…sorry Polow! Anyway, check out Keri Hilson’s video for “Energy.” This song epitomizes all I’m feeling this week. Ex-husbands, Ex-boyfriends, Ex-friends…Dayum! You’re spending way too much energy on ish that don’t matter anymore. You know who you are.
After dropping the controversial “N.I.G.G.E.R.” title and then proclaiming that it’s still called “Nigger,” Nas unveiled the album cover for his 9th studio album last week. Untitled…maybe…but the image of Nas with welts on his back in the form of an “N” says it all. Nas even tells Billboard that the cover “speaks for itself. It says [N-Word] real loud.” The album is scheduled for release July 1st and has several Atlanta connections, including Jermaine Dupri, Polow Da Don (My Legacy), and DJ Toomp (N.I.G.G.E.R.). Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges hosted a charity event for the Ludacris Foundation last week at the Ralph Lauren Store at Lenox Square Mall. The store closed it’s doors to the general public at 6:00pm for a three hour private shopping event.
The patrons became the largest crowd in the event’s three year history, Ludacris told the crowd.
“The turnout was amazing and the event was above expectation,” said Chaka Zulu, CEO and co-founder of Disturbing Tha Peace Records. “We know the Atlanta community is rich in so many ways and they constantly support DTP on so many levels.” (Source)
The event began at Luda’s new restaurant, Straits, with a $100 per plate private dinner that offered guests a taste-testing of the restaurant’s cuisine. The dinner and the shopping event raised tens of thousands of dollars to go towards HIV/AIDs testing and research.
Fergie and Quinton Tarantino jointly celebrated their birthdays at Jet Nightclub in Vegas last night. LMAO at the caption for this pic…Singer Fergie, director Quentin Tarantino and NFL player Polo Da Don at Fergie and Quentin Tarantino’s birthday celebration… Dayum Polow…I had no idea!
I wrote a post about A-Town Day the other day and I know somma y’all thought I was lying. Well I’ve located video taped proof that A-Town Day actually took place! Check out this video of LV performing “I Gotta Dollar” at Turner Field. They even did the lil Buckwheat dance on stage! Some things I can’t won’t defend…but the song is still hott. Blame Polow!
