Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges has partnered with San Francisco restaurateur Chris Yeo to open several restaurants in Metro Atlanta.? The first, which will be called “Straits”, is set to open in April of this year in Midtown.? Straits will be located at 793 Juniper St. (at Fifth Street) in the building that was formerly the restaurant Spice.
The menu looks good so I’ll definitely be adding this spot to my list!? The hours will be 5 p.m. to midnight (Monday through Wednesday)? 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Thursday through Saturdays) and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays.? There?are no lunch hours specified but they will open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.

The “A”s own Jermaine Dupri is a multi-talented entrepreneur.? With longevity in the music industry and several successful business ventures, such as Cafe Dupri and Studio 72, he’s?holding the?world in the palm of his

The 16th annual Trumpet Awards were held in the “A” last weekend (as well as a monster truck rally and an Atlanta Thrashers hockey game)!? Downtown traffic was on lock…but I did navigate through in time to meet my friends at Stats to watch the game!
My favorite elf/actor/rapper, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges received the Usher Raymond Altruism Award for his philanthropy and his establishing a foundation to use music and the arts to connect to urban youth.
See all of the 2008 honorees over at The Trumpet Foundation.

Breaking News –? Former Atlanta Falcon Michael Vick has been offically sentenced to 23 months in jail for his role in a dog fighting operation.
The sentence, handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson, ended an eight-month legal odyssey?for Vick that saw him go from NFL star and the face of the Atlanta Falcons franchise to a prison inmate. The sentence on federal felony charges means Vick, suspended indefinitely by the NFL, won’t play again until at least 2010. He still faces the league suspension. He has also been indicted in Virginia on state dogfighting charges and faces lawsuits from several banks. The Falcons are awaiting an arbitration ruling in an attempt to recoup $20 million in bonus money paid to Vick. (Source-AJC)
I’m kind of relieved because I thought it would be a lot more.? Let’s keep Mike in our prayers….he’s gonna need it.
