Check out Young Jeezy’s behind the scenes footage from the “Vacation” video shoot.  Jeezy said he invited all of his homey’s from Kirkwood, Mechanicsville & Decatur down to Miami for the shoot…“courtesy of Young.”  Love it!  Ain’t nuthin like hood nicca’s on the beach!  Priceless!  

Check out the newest leak from T.I.’s upcoming “Paper Trail” project. The song was produced by Kanye West and includes an addictive sample from M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes,” where she declares “No one on the corner got swagger like us.”  As the producer of the track, I guess it was Kanye’s call to start off the track with his vocals: ”I know I got it first/ I’m Christopher Columbus, y’all just the Pilgrims/ How it feel to wake up and be the sh–and the urine?/ Nah-na-na, trying to get that Kobe number, one over Jordan.”  Jay’s next up — “You can pay for school, but you can’t buy class” —  Weezy’s third and Tip is the closer.

Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges along with Hot 107.9 and The Ludacris Foundation held a back to school “Cutz & Curls” event for kids.  The event was held at the Adamsville recreational center and provided back to school haircuts, hair styles and school supplies for over 1000 Atlanta area children.  Way to go Luda!  Oh…and don’t forget… “Theatre of the Mind” will be in stores October 21st!

Olympic Gold medalist, Michael Phelps recently cited the 8 influences that led to his award winning performance in an interview with the NY Times.  Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy was among the influcences named that led to Phelps’ winning eight gold medals in Bejing.  His particular favorite?  ”Go Getta” featuring Chester the Molester R. Kelly.    

Well now, Jeezy has stated that Phelps “people” have contacted his “people” and talks are in the works for a formal meeting:

“It would be great if I could holler at Phelps,” Jeezy said during a break from his nationwide promotional tour for his upcoming CD, “The Recession”. “And it’s a compliment that that man found inspiration in the music I do for the streets over here, over there in Beijing”. (Source)
