The “A”s own Jermaine Dupri is a multi-talented entrepreneur. With longevity in the music industry and several successful business ventures, such as Cafe Dupri and Studio 72, he’s holding the world in the palm of his itty bitty hands! His latest venture will be in the hotel industry. That’s right boys and girls, Jermaine wants to start his own chain of hotels called Hotel D. Just think, he could make all the beds low enough so that he doesn’t have to jump up! I kid…I kid!
I’m sure it will be just as successful as that dang vodka he makes….what’s it called again?? (Source)

T.I. is on House Arrest and still doing more ish than any of y’all!! You go boy! T.I. joined forces with V-103’s Ryan Cameron to help Hosea’s Feed the Hungry. The orgainzation, which holds annual charitable holiday feasts for Atlanta’s homeless community, had lost one of it’s largest supporters and Ryan Cameron’s show called in the Hip-Hop community to assist.
T.I. donated $20,000 and other Atlanta area celebs followed suit. In less than three hours, $166,000 was raised!
Among those who responded, all with sizeable pledges, were Big Boi, Busta Rhymes, Neyo, Wyclef Jean, Jermaine Dupri, Mr. Collipark, DJ Toomp, Polow Da Don, Bow Wow, Warner Music Group Executive Vice President Kevin Liles, Devyne Stephens of Upfront Records, Mathew Knowles and Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment. I know….I know….better late than NEVER! Jay-z hosted a party at the Velvet Room last Sunday for his American Gangster album release. The usual ”A” listers were in attendance….Jermaine Dupri, Young Jeezy, DJ Toomp, Usher, Frank Ski (V-103), DJ Trauma (the Superfriends DJs), in addition to Rick Ross and Freeway. I also have to mention Alex Gidewon (AG Entertainment), the man who made it all possible. The only people missing were T.I. and Michael Vick…
Jay-Z’s new CD is on fire! Shout out to one of my favorite people, DJ Toomp, who produced track #11 (Say Hello)! Also check out Jay’s new video for my favorite song (this week) ~ Roc Boys (and the winner is) below:
It just ain’t right when a man beats up on a woman!Check out the mugshot of Da Brat aka Shawntae Harris. Da Brat was locked up last night after an altercation with a waitress at Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72. Now, I don’t know about you….but 33 is a bit too old to BE in the club, much less FIGHTING in one….and whatever happened to “lady-like” behavior anway??…..oh, I almost forgot who I was writing about….
“According to witnesses, after the pushing, the waitress walked away, and a short time later, that’s when Harris picked up a bottle and hit the waitress in the face with it,” Parish said.
Parish said the rum bottle broke, causing a “deep laceration” to the 23-year-old woman’s cheek. The waitress also had swelling to her forehead, and was taken by friends to a local hospital.
Harris was arrested at the club a short time after the 1:20 a.m. Thursday incident and charged with felony aggravated assault, Parish said. She said the rapper will be held in the DeKalb County Jail until her initial appearance, which will be held within 72 hours after her arrest.
Thursday’s incident wasn’t the first time Harris has been arrested for fighting in a metro Atlanta club. (Source - AJC)
