While some rappers continue to beef about Bankhead, Young Jeezy is one artist who won’t be caught slipping. He is the real deal and he makes no qualms about it. In his recent interview with XXL magazine, Jeezy discussed his street cred and how the recession is affecting those close to him. He also discussed how he is using the internet to his advantage and why he decided to launch his own site (USDA.com). His next CD, “The Recession” will be in stores September 2nd.

Young Jeezy has added his voice to Jennifer Hudson’s “Spotlight.” The song was already good but Jeezy makes it way better.

Young Jeezy held a “Back to School Give Back” and bowling event at Metro Lanes & Games in Atlanta yesterday. The rapper, along with Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE), the Boys and Girls Club and V-103’s Greg Street issued free backpacks, clothing, sneakers and school supplies donated by 8732 clothing, Brand Jordan, Nike, Akademiks and Pastry to school aged children in need. Young Jeezy joined Mariah Carey onstage during the kick-off of Samsung’s free summer concert series in L.A. I know I promised myself no more MC posts after “the incident” but since Jeezy’s in these flix I’m makin an exception.
