112 is reportedly back in the studio grinding it out for a 2010 reunion album, so it’s only fitting that I do a flashback to their days at Puffy…P.Diddy…Diddy’s Bad Boy label.

Their first single, “Only You” featured The Notorious B.I.G. and Ma$e and was a Top 20 in both the Pop and R&B charts. 112’s self-titled debut album hit platinum sales and is still in rotation on the “A”pod today. That 1st Biggie line always gets me:

Chris Brown, who recently rejoined TWITTER after quitting in disgrace a few months ago, has been begging for followers by promising to go LIVE on Ustream when he hits certain benchmarks.

As promised, Chris went LIVE once he hit 100,000 followers and was joined in the studio by producer Polow Da Don.

It would seem that this would be a win win situation for them both, but Polow eff’d it all up when he made an offhand comment to Chris’ 50,000+ viewers which offended both women and gays.

I received not one but TWO long “A”zz emails describing Chris’s utter disrespect for his fans after he didn’t stand up or address Polow’s comment, which begins at the 12:50 mark:

Up until last night I was proud so say I was chris browns absolute number 1 fan. Anything I could do to support him and his career from buy chris brown merchandise, going to his concerts, and tuning in to every television appearance I possibly could. I always felt he was a artist who genuinely care for his fans as much as the care for him. It saddens me to say last night I was proven wrong.

Chris went on ustrem last night in what I thought would be time to talk with his adoring fans, instead he gave us 16 minutes of nothing. He sat on the studio and canoodle with his friends. Not even giving us so much as a hi or a thanks for joining me here.
Now maybe its just me but I find it extremely hypocritical for him to be basically begging fans to support him because radio stations weren’t playing his music. As a fan I took time out of my day to actually find phone numbers and email addresses of radio station. I wrote emails and even called theses stations begging them to play crises music. And after watching this video I felt like someone just smacked me across my face and said screw you.

At about 12mins ad 50 seconds the music producer polo the don made a remark that I felt was extremely disrespectful, inappropriate, and lude.  The statement was basically on the lines of  “anybody want to see some dick, but not you gay ass niggas only the females.” Now as a openly gay male I’m extremely offended. But the fact the chris brown did nothing to defend his fans but laugh and turn his back on the camera hurts me to my heart. I know chris didn’t make this comment. He probably had know clue that polo the don was going to say it. But I feel that know excuse. In my opinion you are who you associate yourself with. Being that he felt the comment was funny enough to laugh off tells me the true person chris is. I cannot continue to support anyone who allows people like that to his supporters. I have never in life been so disgusted and hurt.

As a black young women i am offended!!!!  Even after what happened with Rihanna we all (fans) worked hard to continue to support you and all we get the damn silent treatment. Thas all we get back??? The fact that you went and read to a few third graders in Brooklyn wont save your career. Being grateful and displaying such appreciation to the people who make you who you are will however.

The Second thing i want to address in this letter is the extreme shock i found my self in while watching this video. Not only were you cursing , but when your producer Polo DA Don said “who wants to see some Di*k? and not none of you gay ass nigga*s” you laughed and turned your head so you wouldn’t be seen laughing. Your told him the video was for your fans , and that you could say anything.

FACT: the words did not leave your mouth but the fact you did not apologise to everyone for such vulgar language and homophobia is shocking, For someone who claims they love they’re fans you sure don’t respect them. You boldly ignored us and the fact of the matter is the majority of your remaining fans are GAY. You just LOST that.

So forget about releasing that as you put it “gay friendly Club Song”. IN a year in a half you lost most of your followers, tons of support from the urban community and BLACK WOMEN! But you want us to sit and buy your album??????? Really?

Not a good look for Chris. Polow, on the other hand, will be alright cause he says dumb ish all the time but Chris can’t possibly afford the drama. Not now.

I suggest his “people” keep him offline for a while til he gets his mojo back but I’m almost sure that won’t happen. Chris has set another goal of 130,000 followers and hopefully he’ll make it soon so he can go LIVE again and lose what few fans he has left.

By now I’m sure you all are aware that all 5 of the Atlanta housewives have been confirmed to return for the 3rd season after the ladies appeared together publicly during Bravo’s 2010 Upfront party last week for the announcement.

Kim Zolciak, who’s rumored to have been exploring her lesbian side with a new boo, sat down with a Jacksonville, FL news station yesterday to say that she and Big Poppa, her married “on again/off again” boyfriend, are now ON again after their brief separation.

During the interview, Kim showed off the “engagement” ring her married boo gave her and stated that we may even be seeing him on air during the 3rd season.

Kim also confirms the addition of a 6th housewife to the cast but wouldn’t say any names. She did, however confirm that the new addition is an “attorney”.

As one who’s really familiar with Usher and his sexiness, Chilli broke it down and stood up for her ex-boo:

I think every artist has that experience of ‘Oh! Why’d I put that on?’ at one point.  I didn’t feel embarassed [for him]. The one thing I do believe in are his God-given talents. He has them and they haven’t gone away, I think it’s weird that people even look at it like ‘Can he get it back?’ I’m like ‘Okay, he didn’t lose it.’

I think as artists sometimes because we do different things and just try different things, it may appear you’ve lost your way, but it’s just trial and error. I think at the end of the day, he knows best more than anybody, what he’s capable of doing.

T.I is facing more legal woes. Back in January a producer filed a copyright complaint against Tip over his Grammy Award Winning song, “What You Know” and now he’s facing legal issues over his AKOO clothing line.

It was just a few weeks ago that AKOO was forced by the city of Newark to remove a provocative billboard and now they’re battling trademark infringement allegations over the AKOO name!

A company called Akoo International, which markets itself as the world’s largest social music television network, has filed a lawsuit against T.I. and Akoo Clothing over trademark infringement.

The lawsuit alleges that the company has owned rights to the name “Akoo” for several years. Way before the Tip’s urban line came long and it wants full use of the name it had first.

The company’s CEO, Niko Drakoulis issued the following statement explaining the basis for the lawsuit:

Akoo has been recognized as a leading social TV platform for connecting brand advertisers with millions of our engaged viewers. Our primary obligation and goal is to prevent confusion of trademark law.

At the same time, Akoo has been invested nearly a decade of effort and substantial capital to deploy its network and will do everything in its power to protect its brand.

Wowzers!  Apparently “Akoo International” provides video programming to over 86 million monthly customers on-the-go, allowing them to use mobile phones to control on-screen programming.

The company explained that the lawsuit was necessary in order to protect it’s clients from confusing the two brands, which are both marketed in shopping mall and entertainment arenas.

The media company even went as far as citing Akoo Clothing’s billboard fiasco in Newark for drawing negative publicity to their brand.

I have a solution. Tip said that AKOO stands for “A King of One’s Self”, which the proper acronym would be AKOOS. Shoot… just add an “S” and the problem is solved!  Walla!

Monica’s “Still Standing” hits shelves, Tuesday, March 23rd!

Waka Flocka has f*cked up again!! According to TMZ, the rapper - who just recorded a video with P. Diddy – was locked up yesterday … and he ain’t getting out any time soon.

Waka, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs is on probation in Georgia for possessing a sawed-off shotgun and left the state right after shooting the vid to perform in Austin Texas. Authorities say he violated probation by leaving the state. *sigh*

Waka will be held without bail at the Houston County Jail until his court appearance in a few weeks. The good news, his song “O Let’s Do It” is moving up the charts.

After a five year hiatus and speculation that they had broken up, at least three of the four members of the R&B group 112 have reunited to record a follow up to their 2005 release Pleasure & Pain, which went gold in the U.S.

Group member Quiness “Q” Parker broke the news earlier this week via his Twitter page:

Its good to see that they’ve worked out their differences. If you recall, Michael Keith formerly accused two of his fellow bandmates,  Q Parker and Daron Jones, of taking unfair shares of royalty checks. Keith revealed in a 2008 interview:

I’m not sure what the status is of the other three members, but myself, I am no longer in 112. I had to leave because I found out that a certain member of the group took my publishing check.

It was made clear that it was intended for myself and another member, Slim [Marvin Scandrick].

At that time, Mike was also asked about a 112 reunion where he stated, “I’m going to be honest with you and say I’ve grown and lived long enough to never say never, so if that was to happen in the future I will welcome it under the right circumstances.”

I guess the time is now…
