For all of you suffering from Andre 3000 withdrawal, check out the new Video For John Legend’s first single “Green Light Featuring Andre 3000″ off of his 3rd studio album. “Evolver” is due In stores October 28th. Dre is the best part of this song…
Andre 3000…er…um…I mean Andre Benjamin has been working hard on his acting skills and has taken a part where he plays a protestor in the true tale of “The Battle in Seattle”. In the flick, Dre is surrounded by established actors and actressess such as Ray Liotta, Woody Harelson & Academy Award winner Charlize Theron. This could be the film that catapults Dre into movie stardom. I smell an Oscar…nevermind…I think my dog just has gas or sumthin. Check out the movie trailer and a detailed description of the film: (more…)
This video is filled with ATLiens….and Kanye West. Check out Fonzworth Bentley, Andre 3000, Mr. West and Sa-ra [collectively known as the COLOURS] in his new video for “Everybody” [Don’t Stop].” It’ll probably make it on Dre’s presence alone…but there’s way too much twirling going on in this video for me. How YOU doin?
Ne-yo held his annual Mother’s Day Brunch for 50 single and foster mothers from the metro Atlanta area Sunday at the Loft in Castleberry Hill. The event was invitation only and was sponsored to raise awareness of the need to drastically reform the U.S. foster care system. Ne-yo’s mother was present, however Ne-yo was unable to attend this year’s event. Don’t worry though, John Legend took up the slack and gave the mothers a heartfelt performance.
On a side note, Sandra Rose is reporting that Andre “3000″ Benjamin’s mother, affectionately known in the “A” as “Ma Benjamin” was also unable to attend the event due to damage received to her fayetteville home during Sunday morning’s tornados. We wish her the best and pray for all of the families affected by this weekend’s storms.
Chase Tatum was found dead 6 days ago of an accidental drug overdose. Tatum, pictured above in a promo pic from the film Who’s Your Caddy along with Faizon Love, Big Boi and Finesse Mitchell, formerly worked as a road manager and personal assistant for OutKast. Tatum was also well known as a professional wrestler, which apparently is where he developed the back problems which lead to his addiction to pain-killers. Tatum was 34.
Chase Tatum had been recovering from back surgery to repair a degenerative disc. His father said the former wrestler had been fighting a dependence to painkillers for years but had been planning to enter a rehabilitation center.
“He was in the process of getting his life back together,” Roy Tatum said Monday. “He was confident he was going to turn things around, to live a normal life again without those painkillers.” (Source)
