Word on the curb is that Jay-Z is working on a response album to Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’.
Mr. Carter, who chilled backstage during his wife’s Atlanta concert with musical heavy weights like Diddy, Usher, T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Steve Stoute and Chaka Zulu, was also spotted in the studio a few weeks back.
[Sidebar: One can only imagine what ‘the fellas’ were chatting about backstage. Where they sharing tips? Throwing in a few creative ideas for Jay’s response tracks? But I digress…]
While the world anxiously awaits Jay-Z’s official answer to his wife’s scathing album, the folks at Funny or Die have conjured up the perfect response for Jay-Z to cheating revelations from Beyoncé’s Lemonade with “I Gave You Lemons”…

VIDEO: “I Gave You Lemons” Jay-Z Response (Funny or Die Spoof)
The parody goes all out with the effort as it lasts a full hour. Yup… you read that right… an HOUR!
While it’s been reported that Jay-Z is currently working on a response to Beyonce’s LEMONADE, the people at Funny or Die have concocted their own version of the HBO special that includes tons of stock footage and a fake Jay Z voiceover throughout the entire video.
“I wanted to reach out to filmmakers I know to make this response special, but no one wants to work with me,” Jay Z says in the beginning of the video.
“Everybody is mad cause I cheated on my wife. I can’t believe I cheated on Beyoncé. I totally forgot that I was married to Beyoncé!”
The Lemonade parody features Jay Z turning to WikiHow for guidance on how to solve the problems in his life. He also criticizes Beyoncé for listening to her father (Matthew Knowles) while jokingly noting that Knowles is not that much older than Hov.
This is clearly another free promotional tool that can add to Beyonce’s buzz surrounding Lemonade… it definitely can’t hurt!
And it also serves as a prequel to what Jay-Z may actually say on his REAL response debut.
