The 46-year-old actress, best known for her role as Tootie Ramsey on The Facts of Life, is really making waves now that she’s joined the most popular reality show in the nation.
Fields, who was reportedly having a hard time financially prior to stepping into her new role as ‘housewife’ (click HERE if you missed that), has now been re-introduced to millions of viewers which has opened the door for a brand new wave of opportunities…. i.e. Dancing with the Stars!
It’s been confirmed that Kim Fields will be joining season 22 of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’
Kim will be following in the footsteps of previous Atlanta ‘Housewives’ like Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Bierman, but clearly her name recognition worked in her favor as well.
I’m not so sure that Kim has any rhythm, but it will be interesting to see her try.
News of Kim’s addition comes just a few weeks after ABC announced that DWTS judge Julianne Hough will not be returning.
“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Hough told ET in a statement. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”
Julianne’s brother, Derek Hough, is expected to return next season as a pro-dancer, and he tells ET that it was time for his younger sister to leave the judges’ table.
“I think she did three great seasons, and it’s time for her to go,” he said. “She’s got great things on the horizon, and she’s doing great things. Len [Goodman]’s coming back, and so, you know, I think four judges feels a little redundant anyways, so I think it’s the right thing to do.”
No word yet on who else will be competing this season, The full cast will be revealed during a live announcement on Good Morning America on March 8.
