NEWSFLASH! Those of you who have been constantly nagging Tameka Raymond about dropping Usher’s last name, finally got your wish.
It was just a few months ago that Usher revealed that he would hope his son’s mother would ‘depart’ from using his last name. (you know, the one she shares with his kids?) Usher stated in a Dish Nation interview:
She married me. I’m going to marry again… (you know) and when I do, I don’t want to have a harem, so…
When I do, I just hope it will be a departure…
Soon after that interview, Usher tied the knot with his latest
old lady lady love, so now, Tameka has complied to her exes very public request to return his family name.
Sure, we all thought hell would freeze over first, but it’s a new year and the ‘Atlanta Ex’ has a ‘new’ name. Tameka
Raymond has officially ditched her famous last name and has reclaimed her maiden name.
Usher’s ex-wife is now officially referring to herself as ‘Tameka Foster’… at least according to her social media.
It’s never easy to move on from the ghosts of your past, but I guess changing your name is a start.
Hell, I kept my ex-husband’s name for several years after we got divorced but it was only because after 10 years, I was too lazy to go through all the drama of changing my government documents and accounts. I can only imagine how hard it is with children involved.
But I digress.
Tameka’s ditching the name and Usher’s new
old lady wife, will share his famous last name with his kids. One big happy family!
Whatever the case, Usher has a new wife and I guess having several Mrs. Raymond’s running about can’t be too good for his already tarnished image.
Fans will never forget how callous Mr. Raymond was during that bitter custody battle that he chose to continue even through the death of Tameka’s youngest son.

Usher took the kids… he took the name… hell, I hope Tameka got to keep her designer undies!
