As Bobbi Kristina Brown lies comatose in an Atlanta area hospice facility, the Marietta motorist injured in a car accident she had last January (prior to her current medical condition) has filed a lawsuit.
The lawsuit, filed by Russell J. Eckerman, is being brought against Bobbi Kristina by and through her guardians, her father and aunt Bobby Brown and Pat Houston, and the conservator of her estate, Bedelia Hargrove.

According to the AJC, Russell J. Eckerman of Marietta, says Bobbi Kristina was driving a Jeep Liberty that collided with his Ford Taurus at Holcomb Bridge Road and Martins Landing Drive in north Fulton County.
Police in Roswell, Georgia, say Bobbi Kristina Brown was driving a2005 Jeep Liberty on Jan. 27, 2015 when she lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. A passenger in the Jeep and the other car’s driver were taken to the hospital.
Just 4 days later, on Jan. 31, Bobbi Kristina was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub and has been hospitalized ever since.
The lawsuit states:
Defendant Brown was traveling at an imprudent speed for conditions and was following too closely and improperly attempted to change lanes in order to avoid the vehicle stopping in front of her.”
Defendant Brown lost control of the vehicle she was operating crossed the center line and collided with Plaintiff’s vehicle causing extensive damage to Plaintiff’s vehicle and serious personal injury to Plaintiff.
The lawsuit also names the Jeep’s owner and the Ford Motor Company as defendants, alleging the Jeep’s owner didn’t maintain it properly and claiming that the plaintiff’s airbag and seatbelt didn’t deploy properly. The plaintiff was driving a 2007 Ford Taurus.
According to legal documents filed, Eckerman claims that as a result of the collision he suffered serious injuries and has incurred medical bills exceeding $730,000.
