Keep in mind this happened 7 months ago. This organization and the entire ND community supported and defended Ray Rice. Why now all of a sudden must he be fired? She was charged too in this incident and her charges were dropped which means the D.A. handling this case saw the tape and decided that she was at fault to a extent or she had a very good lawyer and he didnt. 4. for all of this who say or think he should go to jail. No. Most abusers dont go to jail and trust me there are a lot of abusers out there that will never go to jail and people will never know they are abusers because no one will say anything. If it wasnt for the first tape coming out we would have not known this happened. This would have been swept under the rug and everything would have all happy go lucky in his life and hers. What I think we fail to realize is that in our cultural its ok to hit. Its ok to defend yourself when you believe you are in danger. What we dont do is stand up an say ok that’s not right. He should not have hit her. I dont see any black men, from the NBA, NFL, R&B or Hip Hop coming out and saying this isnt right and they wont.
