While many were pissed that Dre’ & Big didn’t launch their reunion in their home town, it seems they had a plan to show love all along by ENDING the tour where they started… The ‘A’!
Of course you know that Outkast has plenty of love for their Georgia roots and it was announced earlier this morning that the legendary group will headline a homecoming show in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park!
In a statement issued to Billboard magazine, Twan and Dre’ said it’s only fair that Atlanta be their final destination, stating:
“It’s only right that we give the hometown what we’ve been giving the rest of the world, Atliens in ATL, homecoming! Festival Killers,” said Big Boi.
“Coming from Atlanta gave us the freedom to be whatever we ever wanted to be because no one was paying attention. Now that everyone is, we want to say thank you,” added André 3000.
The rap duo also plans to close out their historic tour by bringing along some special hometown guests (yet to be announced) and I’m almost positive it will be a monumental event.
September 27, 2014 will be a historic event with Outkast a few of your favorites onstage!! CLICK HERE for more information on how to obtain tickets.
