Kandi revealed online recently that she and her new husband have held off honeymooning (for now) explaining:
I know people are asking why am I on IG when I should be on my honeymoon. Well @todd167′s has to go out of town to set up a show his company is producing for a network that’s just starting production this week. We’re gonna do a quick getaway next weekend.
Although I would have loved to take one of those long honeymoons & fly out the day after the wedding, anyone that watched #RHOA knows that I wanted Todd to produce his own shows & work for his self & that dream is coming true so I’m not complaining! So send him some love & congrats on his show being picked up as well! #EvenThoughItMeansHeWillBeInLAfor5months….
Kandi’s wedding dress remained top secret but now the first official photo of the Reco Chapple designed gown has been revealed!

Kandi’s wedding photos will be featured in InTouch Magazine and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed the first photo of her gown to In Touch magazine, stating, “The whole thing was like a fairy tale!”
Their nuptials took place at Atlanta’s Le Fais Do-Do event facility in front of 300 guests who waited HOURS for Kandi to march down the aisle.
Kandi’s wedding invitation specified that the ceremony was scheduled for 5pm, but it wasn’t until around 8pm that Kandi finally emerged from behind a wall of ostrich-feather fans in her custom $20,000 Reco Chapple gown with a 12-foot train.
“I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pull this all together,” Kandi admits to In Touch, revealing that she organized the entire ceremony in just a month.
“I couldn’t wait around hoping things would get better. I just had to do it and hope for the best.”
I’m sure the delay had something to do with Mama Joyce acting up behind the scenes, but we’ll have to wait until Kandi’s show airs to catch that drama.
As I exclusively revealed HERE, Kandi’s trip to the altar was captured on film and will be aired for her upcoming spin-off show.
Bravo confirmed the news of Kandi’s upcoming wedding special via a press release, stating:

From what I’m told, Mama Joyce was pretty much on her best behavior during the ceremony but she still seems iffy on Todd.
Kandi’s mom confesses to In Touch, “Time will tell if Todd gets my blessing, but if Kandi’s happy, then I need to be happy for her.”
Kandi’s bridesmaids included matron of honor Tamera Wynn, maid of honor Carmon Cambrice, rapper T.I.’s wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, Fantasia Barrino, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Rasheeda Frost, and RHOA’s Phaedra Parks and Joyce Dallas. The entire wedding party wore white and guests were asked to wear shades of purple.

I have no words for that dress. However, I am happy that she took her daughters advice and married Todd. Therefore, Mama Joyce has no choice but to accept their relationship.They are no longer gf/bf. Ever hear of a circular firing squad? Not meaning to be mean, since Khandi’s my homegirl: Unfortunately, everyone associated with this dress is in it, Khandi, Todd, Reco, Khandi’s friends who helped her choose it…Usually, a reasonably "unknown" fashion designer wows with his first "celebrity" design, but I’m thinking Reco shot himself and his reputation in the foot. The only other person I can imagine wearing something in public that he designed is Lady Gaga or M.I. I’d like to have seen Todd’s face at the moment he saw her coming down the aisle…and his mother (a classy woman) must have been appalled and embarrassed. Maybe she will be a good influence on Khandi, and teach her how to wear structured outfits…
BTW: (Not apologizing for the following comments): did anyone see all the beautiful designs that Nene’s NY team came up with? Nene picked the blue open-shoulder floppy ragtop and rejected all the sophisticated, structured, professional, sell-able pieces (just because she was too big to fit into them). She has a K-Mart summer casual taste;Nene should be on HSN selling kitchen aprons, bathrobes, muumuus, and bathing suit covers…Never saw her in a suit or upscale dress, or even a nice pants suit. Even we larg(er than Nene) women love sophistication, not muumuus.
Right, that kind of style can easily be made plus size, maybe a dart at the bottom of a skirt so it hangs right (since there’s much more fabric).
Especially for someone tall like NeNe.
I’m short, and even petite plus I can’t wear the pants because the crotch is halfway to my knees. A lot of short people are also short waisted so you have to adjust the rise not just the inseam.
But for 5’5" or taller people, the same outfit would need pretty minor adjustments.
No one wants another tent or muu muu. Where am I going to wear that?

I also think the dress looks fine and in order with the theme. I would imagine there were some kind of low fans or air blowing to really set that train of feathers off. Kinda make them animated plumage. Diana Ross loved that effect. She looks gorgeous and I know her wedding was as beautiful as she imagined it to be. I can’t wait for her special.

As beautiful naturally as Khandi is, as beautiful a shape as Khandi has, a simple lace mermaid dress, a pair of dangling earrings, and understated bouquet of calla lilies would have made her dazzling!Even a simple dress like in the pic above with her mom makes her stand out beautifully. I think Tim Gunn on Project Runway would have said to Reco: "Edit. Edit. Edit. You didn’t have to put every idea you had into this one look/piece, feathers, sequins, lace, 2-inch jeweled collar necklace, a 4-inch high tiara AND a very busy, huge bouquet of flowers?" Sadly, I think the press and Fashion Queens (who seem to only like tacky Kenya) will be very cruel this Sunday when they speak of Khandi’s dress.

Well, since I’m not a bird brain let me make the most important comment because putting down Kandi’s dress is not necessary to me. If she chose it, she loves it and others should keep negative statements to themselves because it does not good for anyone. What I see worth a statement here is that Kandi is a smart ass business woman! Down to the max. She’s down for her husband raking his dollars as a self employed man. He quit working to form his company with Kandi’s smart business sense and money to launch his own production company. Go head Kandi with your bad self!
And she DID say that she imagines so much more with them as a TEAM. I can imagine them getting into music videos since he knows that part of production. At first, I thought it was a rug .. then I saw it was the train of her dress! No gawd! Her face and hair are beat, though!
You know this had to be some boogie, haute couture type wedding, cause at any other wedding, the bride and that dress would have been laughed at.
I will say … I love the top part of the dress. Had she had a different bottom, it would have been alright.
All in all, none of her ensemble makes sense. You have on ostrich feathers, a Cynthia Bailey Agency beauty queen crown and this thick choker that takes away from the beautiful neckline of the gown.
To say that Kandi is a millionaire, her taste in her wedding ensemble is awful! That dress is absolutely hideous. And to top it off she made her guests wait three hours before she even walked down the isle?!! Tacky!
That dress is hideous and i mean that literally its hiding kandi i was trying to find her in the pic but all i seen was flowers and feathers who did todd marry an ostrich or more like a flamingo i heard he some where still waiting on kandi to come down the aisle.
Bravo really knows how to rake that money in. So far they have at least six weddings they can run as a wedding marathon at any time and I would love to see them all again. Of course I thought Nene’s was and always will be the best for me. Bethenney, Kim, Ramona, Cynthia,Nene and now Kandi.
I forgot the O.C.’s Tamara and the unfortunate renewal vows of Vicky.
I loved Tamara’s but Bethanny is my girl! If I had to pick a favorite it would be Nene’s! My least favorite was Kim (she never acts like a lady.too nasty) and Vicki’s (she actually talked about the price of his ring,tacky).
Love Kandi, bless her heart, but she is a bamma. She made mess of her wedding.

I’m very happy for Kandi and Todd and wish them nothing but lots of love, longevity and success in their marriage. Kandi’s makeup and hair are FLAWLESS! I am a fan of Reco Chapelle but that dress never ever ever needs to see the light of day again. It’s absolutely dreadful and totally not representative of what a truly creative designer he really is….and as far as I’m concerned, tiaras are for little girls playing princess dress up and pageant queens. That is all.

Am I the only one that read "Coming to America" theme wedding??? That would be why the dress looks like it does, and I think it’s a great interpretation of the first wedding Eddie was supposed to have on that movie… Hmmm, maybe I just love "Coming to America" and get it!!!

If you watched Coming to America, the wedding dress worn in the movie was beautiful and equally elegant. This hot mess tragedy Kandi wore was awful. It was the ugliest thing I have ever seen. But again, if she liked it…

She’s wearing a dress with orthopedic sleeves, haystack bottom and Kenya Moore’s Miss USA tiara.. And why does Todd look someone put him in the washer right before the wedding and hanged him to dry.. In other words..Money sure don’t buy you style.

Kandi looks like an old a$$ beauty pageant contestant. Todd looks more classy. just because you have money doesn’t mean you have to always be so over the top and try to get the most expensive stuff. Sometimes less is more.
They did the Coming To America theme because they met in Africa and that is where the guy foresaw that they would be together forever. I like everything about the theme. I actually love the dress because it is theme appropriate. Especially the train, it’s crazy! I like.
We all know Kandi could care less about what other people say about her appearance. She’s too busy making millions to care about any of the BS

Todd should have a darker tux on. It does not match Kandi dress or kandi should have worn off white. Too many colors!!!
She looks really, quite happy. She and Todd are great together and they definitely have a great future ahead of them. I got nothing on the clothes. Nothing.
At a loss for words. All I have is… "NO". Kandi is sweet, but she has no fashion sense, and she is very tacky. I hope she loved looking like an emu on steroids dipped in rhinestones. No GAWD!
