Tariq Nasheed, best-selling relationship author and film producer of Hidden Colors: The Untold History Of People Of Aboriginal,Moor, and African Descent and Hidden Colors 2: The Triumph Of Melanin, documentaries about the untold history of people of African and aboriginal descent, recently did a LIVE Ustream video speaking on George Zimmerman’s recent acquittal.
Many of you have expressed your outrage in the comments section and some have even sent me emails about how White supremacists are having a field day with the Zimmerman verdict in various online forums.
Nasheed breaks it down for those of you who feel that Zimmerman’s acquittal was “just” and says Trayvon’s killing is comparable to a lynching.
Watch video of Tariq as he shares his perspective of the Zimmerman trial and share your thoughts below…
“We make excuses for everyone else, while everyone else throws us up under the bus.” – T. Nasheed
As I was on twitter express my disappointment about the verdict, someone commented to me that Trayvon “should have been home”… or he should have “went to a well lit area and called authorities like a sensible person would.”
which details “racial politics” involving how back in the day, Blacks were banned from being in certain areas after sundown, and many were killed for breaking that unwritten rule (ring any bells?).
R.I.P. Trayvon Martin
