Celebrity Chef Paula Deen is at risk of losing her well built reputation for being a true southern belle after it became known that she frequently used (or ‘uses’, depending on who you ask) the n-word.
News of Deen’s sticky situation quickly traveled, sparking a popular social media trending topic that pushed the envelope on racial jokes.

Deen first explained that she only used the term in reference to ‘bad’ Black people and the cook, born in 1947, also attempted to add age to the list of reasons for her racist comments.
A statement issued via her company, explained:
?[Paula] was born 60 years ago when America?s South had schools that were segregated, different bathrooms, different restaurants and Americans rode in different parts of the bus. This is not today.?
Up until this point there’s been no apology but Paula had been expected to do so during a scheduled appearance on The Today Show this morning (she was a no-show). Now Deen has posted a short apology on YouTube and appeals to the masses to forgive her for her mistake.
Video below…
?I wanna apologize to everybody for the wrong that I?ve done,? she said in the clip, which appeared to be edited after almost every sentence.
?I want to learn and grow from this. Inappropriate hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable. I?ve made plenty of mistakes along the way, but I beg you, my children, my team, my fans, my partners, I beg for your forgiveness. Please forgive me for the mistakes that I?ve made.?
Was an apology really necessary??? Do we even care? 😯
