Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was spotted uncharacteristically hiding her face from the paparazzi in NYC recently (May 25, 2013).

Leakes, who shielded her mug behind a box of Louboutins’ is on a lil break since losing her side gig with The New Normal, which was canceled by NBC a few weeks ago, but she still has the million dollar housewife check to look forward to.

The blonde ‘glam-ma’ is also preparing for her next major adventure, her ‘I Dream of Nene: The Wedding” spin-off special, which has been taping for weeks.

Leakes and her ‘I Dream of Nene’ bridesmaids: Cynthia Bailey (RHOA), Laura Govan (Basketball Wives), Jennifer Williams (Basketball Wives) & former RHOA b-list characters Diana Gowins, and Marlo Hampton, partied bachelorette style in Cali a few weeks back, when she disowned her “real life” sisters and designated her reality show friends as her new “biological” sisters (click HERE if you missed that).

Celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook has been commissioned to plan Nene’s lavish ceremony as she re-marries her “fake” ex-husband Gregg Leakes this Summer.? Nene’s bridal party is said to be be prominently featured during the 8 week series.

The show is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2013 and Leakes’ RHOA co-stars and other celebrity guests will hit Atlanta to witness Nene & Gregg “re-tie” the knot.

Also, the wedding date, which was originally scheduled June 29, 2013 at an undisclosed location, has recently been moved up to June 22, 2013.

No word on why the date was changed, I guess Gregg & Nene are anxious to get to the honeymoon…
