The reality show known as All My Hoodrats aka As the Hood Turns officially titled Love & Hip Hop Atlanta aired it’s 5th episode of the 6th season last night (May 19, 2013).
The ‘ratchetness’ continues this week.
Erica goes through Scrappy’s phone and she doesn’t like what she finds. Newbies DJ Traci Steel and her baby daddy Drew are still bumping heads over his decision to see other women (even though they aren’t in a relationship). Whasserface is still complaining about her private parts.
Mimi introduces her new gay boyfriend. Newbie Che Mack gets “reintroduced” during a meeting in the studio with Stevie J and an altercation in the club with Joseline. Karlie Redd returns for yet another cameo appearance where she acts out for screen time by accusing Benzino of telling her he got him a piece of Joseline’s
man meat taco.
Life lessons were certainly revealed in it all. Check out the weekly recap PLUS watch full episode below…
Erica goes through Scrappy‘s phone but finds several “I miss you” texts from other women. Her treasure hunt confirms that breaking off the engagement was the right thing to do and she confronts Scrappy with her findings.
“Once you go looking for something you gon’ find it,” he told her. “It’s like an emotional roller coaster,” Erica says.
Erica’s apparently fed up with trying to rebuild the trust in their relationship and shows him her ringless ring finger, stating: “I’ve taken it off and I haven’t put it back on.” Put a fork in her. Erica’s officially done and the engagement is over.
Life Lesson #2 – Believe people when they show you who they are… even if it’s your baby daddy.
Traci reveals that she thought she and Drew’s four year relationship would result in marriage one day, which kindaexplains her emotions seven years later…. but popping up at his apartment unannounced is not getting her where she wants to be. “In order for that to not happen again we need to establish some rules,” he said.
Traci wants Drew to admit he cheated on her while she was pregnant and all he’ll admit to is “seeing” and “entertaining” other women (he claims he didn’t sleep with any of them). Traci recalls being six months pregnant and receiving random texts from Drews “microwavable b*tches”
“Women came from the left to the right and it drove me crazy!” because of her horrible experience during a delicate time carrying Drew’s child, Traci feels she reserves the right to never have to deal with another woman over him again.
Drew promptly reminds her that they haven’t “been together” in years and she leaves with tears in her eyes after he reveals his main order of business is getting the money she promised to invest.
Mimi Faust is absolutely glowing in this episode. She’s got a new life away from Stevie J drama complete with a new apartment and a new man.
Mimi decides the time is right to introduce her new boo to her friends and Ariene, Erica and Whasserface all meet her at the Harlem Bar for the great reveal.
All seem totally impressed with Mimi’s newest love interest and oddly enough not one of them mentions the obvious.
See what taking relationship advice from Whasserface does? Now Erica is single too and Mimi’s filming with a Gay boyfriend. *sigh* #LHHATL

I guess they’re saving that for a future episode.
Rasheeda and Kirk’s relationship isn’t going to well but the couple has been together 16 years and going through tough times is expected in any relationship.
Oddly enough, just last season it was rumored that their storyline was so dull that they were in danger of losing their coveted LHHATL spot, so what happens? Rasheeda and Kirk both ramp up the drama factor AND she gets pregnant.
Rasheeda’s pretty far along “in real life” but during the episode that aired last night she revealed that she was about 2 months late getting her period.
Her main issues about being pregnant NOW are kids and money and she admits that they need “some kind of breakthrough.” She finally goes to the doctor, who confirms her suspicions and feels “happy, but stressed at the same time.”
Rasheeda hopes for another boy.
Stevie J meets up briefly with Karlie Redd to find out why she’s so hell bent on starting so much mess between he and his long time homie Benzino.
“That’s why you’re a zero in this industry right now because you just don’t care,” Stevie tells her. Joseline comes in towards the end of their mini meeting and starts her standard antagonizing skit.
Joseline gets fed up with Karlie’s frontin’ for camera time and finally roasts Redd with… “Let me tell you something old bitch, I’m not the bitch to f— with ’cause I’ll knock your b— ass out h*,” The LHHATL “security” comes in just in time to prevent JoeJoe from knocking Karlie out with a one two punch.
There’s a whole lot more but I’m only doing five. You can watch the rest of the drama in the full episode…
