Rapper/Singer/Vocal Judge Nicki Minaj is preparing to entertain the masses in her new gig as judge on the new season of Fox’s American Idol.
The colorful “barbie” attended the season premiere screening of Idol at Royce Hall, UCLA a few days ago (January 9, 2013) in Westwood, California, rocking a skin tight Hervé Léger Colorblock Bandage Dress paired with Christian Louboutin Black/White Watersnake Daf Mary Janes.
Nicki wore an uncharacteristically tame platinum blonde style to the premiere, and while many may be anxiously anticipating her signature color changes, Minaj’s long time hairstylist Terrence Davidson recently announced that he’ll be no longer handling Minaj’s mane changes.

Davidson, pictured above, issued the following statement regarding his decision to step away from Minaj’s hair:
I would like to inform the media and supporters that I’ve decided to step away as hair stylist and wig reator for Nicki Minaj.
It has been an amazing experience offering me a chance to express my creativity and exhibit my love for the art form of wig design.
Davidson goes on to explain…
I have decided to part ways from Nicki Minaj because I would like to explore other opportunities within my own brand and re-energize my creativity through work in fashion editorial, beauty consultations, media personality, ‘how-to’ lectures and hair show development.
In the meantime, Nicki is preparing to take on what could be her most widely viewed gig yet! And all without the comfort of her regular hairstylist!
Having created a image based on her wild and wacky hairstyles and costumes, could this mean Nicki will be toning things down a bit?

I stopped watching long ago. I was going to watch this season but then they added Nicki. I dont like her voice and her personality is which ever one deceids to show up that day. So I will not be tunning in, sorry. My mom hates singing competitions but loves Mariah. I told her Nicki Minaj would be on there as well and she said, sorry I dont do kiddie rappers. My mom thinks Nicki Minaj is a rapper who makes songs for children/preteen market. Due to her attire and the clips from the Ellen show with the same little girls.
