Love & Hip Hop New York returned to the airwaves last night and unfortunately, I refuse to add another reality show to my viewing list.
Call it… reality show overload… post reality show traumatic stress syndrome… whatever… but I just refuse to watch it. So unless I hear word that it’s so dayum good that I can’t resist. I’m just not gonna do it.
But this isn’t about me… it’s about Love & Hip Hop New York… 
The original series returns with a total cast makeover. Gone are LHHNY’s most interesting characters, Chrissy, Emily & Somaya, who are replaced by new blood.
Tahiry Jose, best known as Joe Budden’s ex, Mandeecees Harris who is Yandy Smith baby’s father. Raqi Thunda is Joe Budden’s friend and Tahiry’s former friend and Rashidah Ali who is friends with Tahiry.

So true! I was soo damn bored watching this. Will not be tuning into LHH until Atlanta comes back. I’m not here for any of this boring snoozer
I caught the last 30 mins., only peeking in to see what Chrissy was talking about. Everybody’s gone! And these new girls? Un-unh. I pass.
Dineva’s right about the hair color and "favha." I was like, "did this MF just say ‘favha’ instead of ‘father?’" I bet he say "baffroom" and "pierkul" too.

I honestly didn’t think it was that bad. It was somewhat interesting. I’ll give it a few more weeks before I give it the "oh hell naw!"

I don’t think anything about the show is fake and scripted. The only thing that is set up are the locations (restaurants/bars/homes) that they meet up in then the cameras roll. As a native Northern New Jerseyan who used to live in ATL on two separate occasions (2005) then again (2010-2012), I can tell you that "Love & Hip Hop NYC" is not going to be the ratchet a** mess that many of you have come to love from "Love & Hip Hop ATL". It’s two different casts shot in two different locations and each show offers a different kind of flavor.
I dont think its scripted they just let the cameras roll. The key is to find people who will act up and get them ratings.

Exactly. I thought, damn is Olivia really trying to come between Rich and Erica already. Olivia was a favorite until this season. Olivia’s still as miserable as ever.
Rich and Erica look good together and I hope the marriage rumors are true. They deserve to have each other working on the others best interest.
I am happy Crissy is not there but I really cant get into these people. The only one I could get with is Yandy because I like her approach to business and bravado. Joe Budden and his ex is dysfunctional all before the cameras, just go to YouTube. Any chic that dates him when he is known to put it all on YouTube is nuts. He and Somaya dated as well. Must have been his way into the show. I met Tahiry once at a party in South Beach. Anytime she posed for a pic she made sure her booty was prominently featured because that’s the only thing she is known for besides dating Joe Buddens.
Agreed, You can just tell she thinks that big cellulite butt is the main attraction, when it’s her main affliction.
I think she looks ridiculously sloopy. Instead of Tahiry running after Raqi she needs to run after a cheeseburger dangling infront of a tredmil.
I was watching an old (2009) "Kim and Khloe take Miami" over this past weekend, and guess who was working in their Dash Miami store back then? None other then Ms. Erika Mena….guess she’s been thirsty for a while…funny, no mention of her being a singer or an actress back then. Actually…looks like she had a hard enough time just getting to work….

If they wouldn’t have fired Kimbella they could have had my view. That’s the only person I cared about on the series after the original members bounced. These new chicks look uninteresting and from the glimpses I caught are snooze-worthy. Mona doll you need to re-up and re-think or you’ll only have ATL dear. I used to live for NYC but now I’m an Atlanta BRAVE lol.
I’m no fan of Kimbella…But I am wondering why they changed just about everybody from the first two seasons. I don’t know…I think Mona should have went for bigger names and/or couples at least. and not try to follow any formula…And the whole "video model" thing always weirds me….it might be stereotyping…but, it just sounds like a form of hookin…js

I’m tryin to give the show a chance bein a Jersey City native, but these chicks look B-U-S-T-E-D! Joe Budden looks like a crackhead, & last nite’s episode was so damn FAKE! I’ll give the show a few more episodes but as of now I am not interested!
LHHNY Lost me with the trailer and I won’t be watching. I too am in reality show overload. To many damn shows on about absolutely nothing. I’m tired of helping to make random ratchet people famous for no reason other then sleeping with somebody famous, fighting and pretending to be aspiring to be something. It’s become to easy to produce and be a part of some bullshit and get rich off of it. The females all look just alike, bunch of weave, a bunch of MAC, 9 inch stilettos….sigh….is anybody original anymore. It would be an understatement to say I’m over it, ready for several of these shows to crash and burn….
Just watched..LLHHNY I don’t know. I agree with you Yana… they all need some wardrobe reality… what the hell is Joe Budden wearing? Is he dyin his beard? is that a NYC thing? and the "Shoes to the Stars"..chick lol with the Red hair….So, is she a booster? lol If you don’t know what that is..don’t worry about it. The Tahiry girls attitude is on 20…But, if you not with him…why ..are you on 20? I can’t. It seems a little fake. Furthermore who are these people? like ..to Hip Hop? I’m not tryin to be funny…at first ..I just thought they were all video girls. But, it seems they have other things going…but, I don’t get it..the connection. I guess that will reveal itself later.
The only storyline that just seems normal is Yandy and her dude. Even, the Rich and Olivia stuff is looking weird. Like, you using your tittle to pull Erica?…really lol Okay…But, I can deal with them two…I guess(what happen to Rich baby mama being on this season? lol)

The way Raqi acted ( I would believe they smashed her and Joe) Seh thought her position meant more than what it was. Joe kindly escourted her out. Even the dog kicked her too!
I will check it out a couple more episodes.
Did anyone watch Mob wives? Ever since Carla husband (ex) came home she seemed to have grew some, and I’m waiting for scandal come back on this week. (Free Huck!)
I was thinking the same thing about Karla last night. I coulda swore Renee was scared of her when she kept calling her a junkie. I’m glad sheis speaking up. Hope wonder if she will speak up with those other two (can’t remember their names).
Didn’t see the whole show but I was surprised that Carla was runnin’ off at the mouth like that and even MORE surprised that Renee pretty much sat there and took it. She felt justified calling Renee a junkie but shook the damn table when Renee called her a whore (for not closing her legs to married men). And the way Big Ang kept defending the ho shit made me feel like she’s a heaux too.

Carla’s a homewrecking whore and Karen mentioned it on last season’s reunion. I was waiting on Carla to put to bed the rumor of her being a homewrecker, but instead she just continued to call Renee a "junkie". I can’t tolerate Carla, she’s just Drita’s weak sidekick and she needs to go.
No need for me to ever watch this hot mess again, I will just tune into Funky Dineva’s updates, they are WAAAYYY more entertaining!

Joe Buttons and his "SLOP-a-Saurus" ex Tahiry are the New York version of Karlie Reed and Benzino.
When Tahiry went from 10 to 60, I knew those two were trying way too hard.
I believe Raqi. Tahiry strikes me as a weak broad that would fal out with a friend over jealousy.
Tahiry’s far too EXTRA to be on reality TV. Phony doesn’t appeal to viewers who expect realness.
Get rid of Tahiry and Joe. I like how real Raqi is though.

I’m watching this for one reason only: YANDY! Love her and her new little baby boy. He is just too cute with his momma’s eyes. All these other birds can build a nest.
And WTH these women fighting over crackhead Joe Buddens with his non-hit having ass looking like the poor woman’s Common. SMH
I’m sad that Kimbella is not on this season of “Love and Hip Hop” but I guess we can only have one Joseline. I was talking about the new season with my DISH co-worker and she refuses to watch it. I’ve seen the first episode and it was a little confusing, but I have hope it will get better. I’m going to record the rest of the season on my DISH Hopper. There is over 2,000 hours of entertainment space, and Monday night’s my kids like to watch their favorite shows at the same time I do. Luckily, I can watch this show in my bedroom while they watch their favorite shows in the living room at the same time, so no more fighting over the television.
