The TLC network has granted Watkins four episodes of the series and set the premiere date for New Years Day, Tuesday Januar 1st.
The show will following the life and journey of T-Boz as she moves from Atlanta to Los Angeles with family and friends in tow, in order to reinvent her career in the music industry and beyond.

In the first episode, Watkins meets with super-producer Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford, (who recently received a ‘Men of Power & Influence Award’), to discuss the direction of her new project.

TLC has set the premiere date for the four-part series TOTALLY T-BOZ, sharing the life and journey of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, from the iconic girl group TLC, as she moves to Los Angeles with family and friends in tow, in order to reinvent her career in the music industry and beyond.
The new series premieres Tuesday, January 1 at 8/7c.

TLC has set the premiere date for the four-part series TOTALLY T-BOZ, sharing the life and journey of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, from the iconic girl group TLC, as she moves to Los Angeles with family and friends in tow, in order to reinvent her career in the music industry and beyond. She’s also struggling to figure the balance between her solo endeavors and the group, while T-Boz and singing partner Chilli realize they may not be able to agree on what the future holds.
Outspoken and driven, T-Boz has spent the last few years on a very rocky road, from dealing with the tragic death of fellow member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, to a difficult divorce and financial challenges, and having to recover from a life-threatening brain tumor, all while suffering from debilitating Sickle Cell disease. Yet through it all, T-Boz has always found a way to grow stronger and now, she’s hustling hard to transform herself into a bigger success than ever before.
This series will lift the veil on the life of a celebrity who once enjoyed major success and now is returning to a business that is completely different than the last time she was on the top of charts. With the help of her friends and family, she is focused on creating new songs for her solo career and attempting to conquer her health issues – all while acting as a single mother to her twelve year-old daughter Chase. Joining Tionne on this adventure are her little brother Kayo, cousins Barb and Chris, her lifelong friend Tae-Tae, and business partner & friend Tara, who will support her as she fights for even more fame, fortune, and success, and overcomes the obstacles that stand in her way.

Her show looks Like its going to be boring. So I’m not going to be watching. But I do wish her the best of the luck and I hope she is successful in what she wants to do.
Its just sad when our musical icons end up being ass out for the whole wide world to see. I’m a music/entertainment industry vet in Atlanta so I’ve seen big names come and go over the years. But there is no sensible reason why this happened to T-Boz. Maybe she felt TLC had the talent to stay on top of changing musical tastes, and thereby stay relevant, and thereby get that money. However, she ain’t Mariah Carey.
I think T-Boz knows her future lies in the realm of backup vocals. Her style and sound won’t bridge the generation gap. The younger folks know who T-Boz is but don’t care; and the older folks aren’t gonna spend any money on her. Sad but true.
And she simpply doesn’t have the personality to carry her very own reality show. Though compelling, her life story is more suitable for a paperback book than prime time TV. TLC knows this, so they are merely testing the waters to see if the show grows legs and takes off. That’s why there’s only 4 parts. Its a small gamble for the network.

i agree with you here…if you think about it, the show with her and chili didn’t take off, their attitudes were stank if you ask me and they always thought they were so much better than any other group including DC. T-Box, need to take it down a notch and realize that you were great at one point, but guess what, what goes up must come down. i think she needs the money and they are giving her a chance, 4 episodes is not going to give you a bunch of money so hey..maybe she wants exposure! she sure isn’t what she use to be , being in the group and all. this was a group thing, so to me once the group broke bad, they can never get that back. i wonder why they didn’t invest their money in a restaurant like everyone else does? crazy really..you always suppose to invest your money!

I love me some T-Boz, and will definitely be watching. She is the originator of that IDGAF attitude, and I can’t wait for her to crack me up with her humor. She’s been thru alot and stayed strong, I’m interested to see her support team as well.
With all due respect, I don’t think she is going to make it in the musuc industry. For one, she doesn’t have the physical appearance to be able to make it. But what really gets me is why doesn’t any of her close friends & relatives be honest with her about that. I’m not a dream killer & I wish her the best, but I am a realist.
You are right.Gone are the good old days of the 70/80′s/90′s, when you were carried by talent alone.SMH… Now all you have to do is be naked, semi-cute/ and or lightskin and agree to be a slut for the industry.I feel sad for those with real talent and not the "hollywood acceptable looks"….to bad real talent has been kicked out.SMH

I can’t believe the negativity thats being said on this site about T-boz. When will it ever stop with black people putting each other down. We are the only people that knock each other down before we can ever get up. At first when i use to hear all these actors and actresses and singers say people told me i wasn’t going to amount to anything and it will never happen to me, i now know they were and are telling the truth. My goodness people, I don’t like all shows but i don’t knock it until i see it. I then give an honest opinion without being disrespectful or hurtful.
I can’t wait to see which direction T-boz takes her new musical career. I look forward to to hearing what her new music will be like after having such a long hiatus from the industry. I think it’s fascinating that she survived a brain tumor, this had to be life changing for her. My DISH coworker first told me about this show so I’ll definitely be tuning in. I’ll be recording it on my DISH Hopper since I won’t be home when it airs. This DVR can record and store up to 2,000 hours of entertainment. I never have to worry about running out of room.
I like TBoz, but she’s the perfect example of the importance of having a back up career after your singing career goes south. The only reason why Chilli is okay financially is b/c Dallas is her baby daddy, so she’s taken care of… Sad but true….

It just doesn’t work. I would love to see more positive women/strong women/supportive types on TV but we all know that will not produce ratings. Aren’t the creators (or T-Boz herself) smarter than that?
I give her tons of credit for pushing forward in life through so many obstacles, including the big scary reality that she is older now and needs to prove herself even more (despite the health issues, etc.)Love the fact that she raises her daughter with the same strong head on her shoulders! That’s a good set of values to pass down!
I wish her ALL the best and would like to say I’d want to watch more of the show, but I won’t. Not because of T-Boz though…it’s her god-awful friends! Some are ok (Tae Tae is funny..clearly wants the best for T-Boz and knows she needs a little push to get out there)…..but they’re all loud, obnoxious, rude, and desperately seeking the limelight. Especially her "friend, business partner, and shopping buddy" Tara (seriously?? WTF?? hahaha). Talk about RUDE! I know she’s "joking" when she talks about calling out ugly babies and saying how T-Boz’s husband wasn’t attractive when she first met her..but…that just shows she’s an ugly person inside. Maybe the kind of attitude she displays is the reason why she doesn’t have a husband of her own anymore. Poor guy wouldn’t want to stay two minutes into THAT relationship… You can say you’re being "honest" and that’s who you really are, but it’s clear Tara is ALL about herself. Classic generation of "I want what I want now!". (aka-having a baby and not waiting to make sure she brings it into a life that will be ideal for it…talk about selfish!?) I hope they get rid of Tara on the show and put a little more substance in….For T-boz’s sake! We love you T-Boz and just want the best for ya! (gettin’ protective here…haha)
