Clifford “T.I.” Harris and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris are definitely in the giving spirit this holiday season!
The cute couple recently launched “Give Like A King,” a charity that encourages individuals to give back and get involved in a big way.
For their first project, the “Give Like A King” foundation joined forces with the Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO) of Georgia, to provide homeless veterans with housing, food, health care, jobs and mental health counseling.

Standing near the streets of Bankhead, his old stomping grounds, Tip spoke of the importance of taking care of the those who put in service with America’s armed forces, stating:
No veteran should go without the foundational needs of a human being… be it shelter, clothing, nourishment, hygiene products… NO VETERAN who risked his life and his everyday liberties for my own should go without that.
So we have aligned ourselves with people who share in our enthusiasms and we are going to do as much as we have about that.
I don’t have a very very long reach, but I think my reach is just long enough to do more that has been or is being done in this area.
Through funds provided through his foundation, T.I. made sure at least 60 homeless veterans secured housing.

I want to salute all of you veterans and I want to thank you for all of your efforts, all of your energy, all of your fearlessness and we are going to go out here and we are going to do all that we can to make sure that you are assisted in the manner that you deserve to be assisted.

This man continues to use his money to improve the lives of others. While his past may have some checked spots, his heart and that of his wife are clearly in the right places. I wish them success with this new foundation and am hopeful that other celebrities will take note and reach into their hearts and wallets to support worthy causes.
I couldn’t have said it any better. I was thinking the same thing! It’s so nice to see how they have evolved as a people and truly are philanthropists.

TI is a stand up guy and I love his heart..this is a beautiful thing for the Harris family to do and I know it is much appreciated..we tend to forget out vets and what they have gone through to keep us safe..beautiful indeed

Side note: Did anyone catch Tiny’s show yesterday. My sister said she enjoyed it. I watched up until the commercial break because I could not take Tamar’s voice and body movements for more than short amount of time. I think the concept and production of the show was cool but I just couldn’t take Tamar.
Cosign..I couldn’t deal with Tamar….they should get rid of her ASAP and the show could be a success.

I’ve admired T.I from the day he stepped on the scene. There was something about his swag, and now I know why. I salute this man and his wife! Setting examples for their family and friends. Please folks….take some notes!!!

Hater is right. Neither of them have mandated commmunity service, they are not on probation.
TI does not wear a suit to the club, so poor observation. What have you done for the less fortunate this season? Probably only serve up haterade
Not to denigrate service to veterans, but its kind of dumb to compare this weekend wonder to a guy like Cosby! Maybe after another 25 years if he’s still in the public eye and contributing…then you maybe could. But until then you’re just hyping flash-in-the-pans.

I love TI and Tiny….this is such a nice thing to do, I’m not a veteran yet but will be soon so this is just too heartwarming to me.
It’s a shame how some people just can’t give credit when credit is due. That’s why we as black people will never get ahead. Instead of applauding TI and Tiny for the good they are doing you have "SOME" that will always bring up the past and negativity.Move on people. I’m suer your lives and past aren’t squeaky clean. TI and Tiny I applaud you for doing everything you have done and the things to come. Continue your great work and don’t let the negativity get to you!!!
