Singer Toni Braxton, who posed for the photo above last month in Beverly Hills, California during the Lupus LA 10th Anniversary Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon, was hospitalized over the weekend in Los Angeles, California.

The sultry songstress posted a tweet Friday evening alerting fans that she’d been hospitalized due to “minor health issues” related to Lupus.

A spokeswoman confirmed the hospitalization on Saturday but had no other details. However, Toni soon hit the tweets to notify fans that she’s fine and recovering at home.
Going home today! I have a nurse coming to the house for a couple days, maybe I can sneak out & see Diezel’s 1st play “A Mid Summers Dream”

Braxton, 45, revealed two years ago she has Lupus, a potentially deadly autoimmune disease.
She also suffers from a narrowing of the blood vessels in her heart.
The singer was hospitalized earlier this year for her condition after experiencing painful flare-ups related to her condition.
Braxton said in a recent “20/20″ interview that doctors told her the Lupus diagnosis meant her performing career would likely be diminished and admits that the disease was a primary cause of her recent bankruptcy.

Ummmm….no one was making light of Toni’s illness, I’m sure having Lupus is painful & difficult, I was just saying that Toni may have exacerbated her CURRENT condition to switch the focus from Tamar to herself so don’t act like thats a far fetched assuption!
Tamar can sell millions of records and continue to make hundreds of realty shows-she will always be "Toni Braxton’s lil sister". There will never be a need for Toni to take any attention away from her sister, she knows she’s a diva in her own right, trust.

What do you mean please explain. Exacerbated what???? You can go outside, eat something that your body doesn’t agree with, walking outside, any little small thing can cause you to have a lupus flare. Man I swear people need to educate themselves before they pass judgement really pisses me off.
I have MS which is a close cousin of Lupus, so I know what its like. However, I have to agree with the others who are saying that the tweet comes across as attention whoring. If you are in the hospital your main focus should be on getting well, not letting complete strangers know that you are sick.
I think as a celebrity in this new world of social media and blog communication hell that one always has to update ones status for the masses. You know the strangers who always have something negative and petty to say about celebrity strangers they don’t know! I disagree with the attention grabbing commit and hope and pray that you never get sick with MS illness so you can maintain negative ignorant judgmental commits about strangers you don’t know!!! Tamar is a sweet young lady but Toni B will always be Toni B.

Then maybe you shouldn’t of shared your plight with MS? Is that not sharing intimate details with a stranger? Interpretation is an explanation of the meaning of another’s artistic or creative work! With that being said I have no idea what “I know what it’s like” means. Either way I’ll be the adult. I apologize for stating your commit was ignorant. It was just an opinion but, clearly offensive and I should of chose my words wiser. Frankly I disagree with anyone who bashes others they do not know personally. I’ve met Toni Braxton and found her genially a good-hearted person. It’s easier to say negative words and pass judgment. Toni is such a great mom…laying on her sick bed and thinking about her baby’s play.
