NBC News reports that a Pennsylvania electronic voting machine was taken out of service earlier today after a voter captured on video a glitch where the machine changed a vote intended for President Barack Obama to a vote for his Republican opponent, Mitt Romney.
The disturbing viral video was posted online and shows a voter’s finger repeatedly pressing the button for Obama. The check mark for Obama never appears, instead a mark pops up next to Romney’s name.

VIDEO: 2012 Voting Machines Altering Votes!!
My wife and I went to the voting booths this morning before work. There were 4 older ladies running the show and 3 voting booths that are similar to a science fair project in how they fold up. They had an oval VOTE logo on top center and a cartridge slot on the left that the volunteers used to start your ballot.
I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney. Being a software developer, I immediately went into troubleshoot mode. I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. Jill Stein was selected just fine. Next I deselected her and started at the top of Romney’s name and started tapping very closely together to find the ‘active areas’. From the top of Romney’s button down to the bottom of the black checkbox beside Obama’s name was all active for Romney. From the bottom of that same checkbox to the bottom of the Obama button (basically a small white sliver) is what let me choose Obama. Stein’s button was fine. All other buttons worked fine.
I asked the voters on either side of me if they had any problems and they reported they did not. I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She him hawed for a bit then calmly said “It’s nothing to worry about, everything will be OK.” and went back to what she was doing. I then recorded this video.
There is a lot of speculation that the footage is edited. I’m not a video guy, but if it’s possible to prove whether a video has been altered or not, I will GLADLY provide the raw footage to anyone who is willing to do so. The jumping frames are a result of the shitty camera app on my Android phone, nothing more. (via YouTube)

I dont know about your state’s voting machines but in my state we were allowed to view our selections before submitting our vote.

At least they had machines-down here in country ass Alabama, they directed me to a rec room table full of other folks with a paper ballot. No privacy, and had the nerve to hand me a Sharpie to indicate who I wanted to vote for. This is my first and last time voting in Alabama-I can’t wait to move home where they are actual voting booths-No wonder Alabama is always ALWAYS a Republican state!

Anyway, back in the 2008 election, I had not voted since Bill Clinton’s first victory. Why? Politics is politricks to me. But I really wanted Obama to win, so I prayed to God. God told me if I want Obama to win, than I should support him by voting. I did.
And long before the election in 2008, due to what God had spoken to me, I began to tell many people Obama was going to win by a landslide. I was so confident Obama would win that I told a local politician here in NYC that he was guaranteed to be president.
She was not as convinced at the time, so she asked me why was I so convinced? I told her God had assued me. And I told her Obama would serve for eight years, not just four. She began to believe me, based on my faith in what God had told me. I was correct, even back in 2008. Obama will serve eight years, as I’d prophesied back then. To God be the glory.
But he still won… sadly.
