Kay i hear you but Ebony has always been about that celebrity life so this is nothing new. I mean they’ve had everyone from Will & Jada to Michael Jordan to Prince so a reality tv star was eventually going to find their way on the cover. I only find it suspect that they didn’t put her and the others on there sooner. Its as if now that gay white hollywood accepts her, its okay for black people to publicly accept her. That is tragic to me!

The show to me is no different than a popular "Soap Opera", it has alot of drama, alot of ok acting with a little reality thrown in. That should also include being able to be honest about something you feel should have been done differently…correct? While I am very proud of her because clearly she is not looking for the next Big Poppa or waiting on Greg to support her I think that this cover could have been done in a way that would draw everyone to it. That cover (Most likely Ebony’s idea) is all about how you perceive it ; glass half full or empty? I could care less. I AM proud of the visible work God is doing in Nene’s life. Totally excluding money, she has visibly grown as a person, given up some of the foolishness, and moved towards fulfilling God’s destiny. A story to truly be admired, keep a watchful eye, and learn a lesson or two.

This EBONY magazine we’re talking about here. EBONY/JET once stood for something when I was coming up and their covers, rarely ever had this on the front. This isn’t hating. No one, or I should say *I* am not hating on her; however, I know most don’t like cliches but, there is one that stands out. It’s more about HOW she is doing it. You can come up, live your dreams but you don’t have to lose yourself in the process. And I think, that is NeNe lost her self.
