A former employee of an Atlanta-area megachurch is suspected of fatally shooting one of the church’s volunteer staff members as the volunteer was leading a prayer service there early this morning (October 24, 2012).
The shooting occurred at Creflo Dollar‘s World Changers Ministry and suspected in the shooting is 52 year old Floyd Palmer, who is currently still on the loose

The person shot at the church has reportedly died from their wounds.

According to CNN, the man who died was a volunteer staff member who was leading a prayer service for about 20 people at the church when he was shot.
Investigators believe the gunman was a former church member and facilities maintenance employee, police said.
Police said the victim was 39 years of age, but his name has not been released at this time.
A police spokeswoman said she didn’t know whether the victim was targeted specifically, and she didn’t know whether Palmer knew the victim.
The church does have a morning service, but Fulton County police Cpl. Kay Lester said she didn’t know if the service was in progress at the time of the shooting.
Citing witnesses, authorities said Palmer entered the church calmly, shot the victim, and calmly left the building.
World Changes claims about 30,000 members and it’s church leadership is headed by Dollar, a high-profile preacher of the Prosperity Gospel, whose message in part is that God promised generosity in this life and that believers can claim it.
Creflo Dollar is also known for his support of Bishop Eddie Long during Long’s sex scandal. During that time, members from Long’s church hoping to join World Changers were sent BACK to the Long’s church by Dollar, who stated that Long had just had an “accident” but he had “insurance”…

This is really sad. What is really messed up is the report that he calmly walked in and calmly walked out, meaning this was calculated and pre-meditated. This churches are going to have to stop putting their heads in the sand and sit down and deal with real issues. There are real issues of jealousy, etc. going on in the modern day workplace. If he did indeed work there, there is no telling what type of situation or situations at the church led up to this. Some of these situations can be diffused by properly communicating with people.
Sad. What is going on with these black churches?
What’s going on in this crazy world? I swear the world is coming to an end with all this crazy madness. A pregnant woman in NY was killed the day before her wedding, young kids are disappearing and then days or months later they’re found dead or never found, etc., these people have gone insane and we are living in the days of nuts gone wild.
Prayers for the family and the church. Prayers for this world. People have no heart or conscience these days. Smh.
Sad that he cant respect the House of Dollar. I wouldnt fix my lips or fingers to say House of God when it comes to Mr. Dollars establishment. Prayers for the victim and family.
Bet it was over a woman or money and they’ll find Mr. Palmer somewhere with a self inflicted bullet wound to the head. My condolences to the victim’s family.
We’re living in the last days so happenings like this should not surprise anyone. Jesus said it was just the beginning of things to come.
They say it was over a woman, the man who got shot was messing with the shooters wife.. and no he didnt kill himself…they found him at the Lenox Mall getting coffee from starbucks…smh…
I don’t understand people who commit crime over a love interest. As soon as they lock your ass up, they move on to the next.

I heard about that because I’m not far from that area-and even considered moving there earlier this year because of the quiet and low crime rate. I’m just in awe of what happened there..not only was one baby shot, but his mother was also pregnant with another-so sad!

My favorite quote is,’if you wana get hurt,go to church" This is crazy. On top of this,I just read about another pastr who was giving AIDS to people while he was married. He also was in Alanta if I’m not mistaken.
