Bravo sent out a slew of photos in anticipation of the upcoming 5th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently.
I’d already spilled a lot of behind the scenes tea about the events in the photos, so I didn’t rush to post them but I would never deny you guys the “official” sneak peek photos.
The photo above was taken of the official season 5 cast as they attended newbie Kenya Moore‘s “Forever Relevant” event back in September.

And last but not least…
It’s true that Kim Zolciak got her own spin-off show… but apparently it’s only because none of the ladies on the cast will tape with her. Sounds bizarre… but it’s absolutely true.
Kim will only be on the first few episodes of RHOA. If you recall, I told y’all a while back that the remaining housewives had all banded together earlier this year and refused to tape after Kim used her 2nd pregnancy as an excuse to avoid taping outside of her home.

Instead of getting the boot with her BFF Sheree Whitfield (which she actually should have), Kim got herself a show…

Having a show should be good news, but will Kim be able to carry it without the help of the peers her husband can’t quite stand? Which leads me believe the only reason Kim’s personal slave friend Sweetie Hughes will be returning is to add a bit of coffee to the cream.

Anywho… Love the new season. KENYA MOORE definitely is my new favorite. She’s gorgeous and looks like she stirs up a lot of folks. I like Kim glad to see she is there. Kandi and Cythinia look boring and new girl looks like she is stuck up and mean.
I don’t think that she goes on a TV show and tries to hit on a married man in front of everyone. Come on ppl you have to be smarter than that. This is what TV does to make us watch.

im looking forward to the new season but im beginning to think that all of these franchises need to end after 4 seasons. After the season 4 mark there is too much drama and evil scheming stuff going on. Every episode is ALL about them trying to brand themselves…i am sick to death of their business ventures. Most of the cast doesnt even like one another, or want to film with each other…happens on OC, NJ, ATL, and NY. It becomes less about being a voyeur into "luxurious" lives with some cattiness on the side and becomes ALL ABOUT THE DRAMA.
I want to like Kandi but her face seriously bugs me…like, a lot. The way she speaks and her voice also really annoys me. she has a lot to offer in the way of an interesting life but watching her is like nails on a chalk board.
I think the Housewives franchise is just going to shits now. Seeing women who are old enough to know better and doing conniving and backhanded shit is getting very old. What happened to the days when ladies were proper ladies? Usually the very first season of a reality show is good if it has your interest but after the second they get worse and worse because they have to really start scripting and manipulating stories and scenes so they can get a good storyline going. I think I’m burnt out on reality shows and honestly I can’t wait until the reality craze is over.

I agree with you The TEA. I persopnally stop watching things that are not appealing, instead of watching then then finding a blog to attack about the different topics on the show. All of these expectations of "Classy ladies" and/or "Proper Ladies" are foolish. Maybe boring ass OWN could fulfill that, but Bravo is known for the drama, but yet people still act surprised every season because these black women does not portray some Corretta Scott King mannerisms. So, I’ll say it again, "Stop Watching fi you don’t like the content".
this is where you’ve gone wrong. i watch msnbc, i watch fox news, i watch the real housewives…3 of these things are not like the other. i watch things i don’t necessarily like because i find them interesting. the real housewives is interesting to watch regardless of the storyline…i stopped watching last season of RHONJ and the most recent one i began to watch again. it’s called a critique. sometimes i watch, sometimes i dont. i am voicing my opinion on the direction of the show which i can do…simple minded people think things are only black and white apparently.

So I just watched the SUPER TRAILER of the new season of RHOA on Watch What Happens Live! and I had no idea that Kenya was trying to move in on Apollo..know he married! I look forward to the show, and all the ladies with their antics. I don’t care much for Kim and her HOMELESS a$$. She and Sheree are probably sharing a cot at "CHATEAU STICKS & STONES!"

I may be in the minority, but I always liked Kim. Unfortunately in reality tv when you become happy, find love, babies its boring and that cast member is usually axed. Kim is funny and over the top so documenting her wedding is a no brainer..however her show is missing flavor and "the drama" reality shows need to survive. Adding Sweetie ummmmm don’t know if that’s the ticket. Like someone said the franchise is getting really tired, they may want to end it or go in a whole new direction.

I dont think there is anything wrong with wanting to be on a reality show; especially, if it’s used as a platform to move forward. The question becomes whether or not you use your powers for good. Honestly, I think the writer of this site would be good for the show and would keep the ladies on their toes. She could even partner with Bravo to make even bigger moves. I’m all about forward progression especially, when its positive and happening un the black community. GET THAT MONEY…then help bring someone else up.
