Rocko Da Don aka Rodney Hill, Jr. has always been a favorite of mine. He and his ex-fiance (R&B diva Monica) have always been friends of the site, so I’ve always shown them both equal amounts of love.

A few years back, Rocko appeared alongside Mo on her BET reality show, “Still Standing,” but he really didn’t have much too much camera time.
Now the producer/rapper/entrepreneur is rumored to have joined the cast of the 2nd season of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta as the cast of the popular VH1 reality series goes through transition.

Rocko posted the following photo online a few days ago, and it seems all signs point to “yes,” regarding talk of his joining the cast…
“SALUTE TO VH1 !!!!! #DAY1#REALITYSHOWFLOW #STAYTUNED #TURNUP“.
Atlanta’s UptownMagazine is also reporting the Rocko may have made that move to reality television, stating:
Speculation has it that Rocko has joined the show to promote his new studio album, which has gained momentum in the underground rap scene.
However, Monica is said to be against Rocko appearing in the show. She has allegedly offered to pay him an undisclosed amount of money to stop him from joining the cast.
That last part about Mo offering Rocko money is rather interesting.
I sincerely doubt that she’d want to block his success, but we all know that appearing on the show WOULD lead more people to dig into his background and I don’t know if that’s a particularly good thing.
Anywhoo… I told you weeks ago that LHHA creator/producer Mona Scott-Young was interviewing potentials for the new season, and they have been filming around town for weeks now.
While there’s no “official” word on who’s leaving the cast, my educated guess would be Karlie Redd and possibly Rasheeda & Kirk, since he really wasn’t feeling the way he was portrayed on the show.
[Sidebar: I doubt that "wassername" will be going anywhere anytime soon, being that she's represented by Mona's "Monami" management company.]

Seeing as everyone in Atl knows his past I would say he should NOT be on the show. Monica I respect because she never talked bad about him. She always supports him and his artist & Wanda smith said she’s seen Monica bring the kids to shows and things but he is a known dog. And I don’t find it at all cute because he has sons watching not to mention we were all just starting to respect him as an artist. These reality shows have become pure coonery & this I don’t think will help him. Just make him look like more of a lowlife because it was speculation that he dogged Monica. I doubt Monica is trying to pay and stop him this looks bad on him not her .steady says a lot about his mentality. As a 27 year old woman always fighting for respect from men I’m not impressed

If I was Monica I would make it very clear that he is not to say the name Monica at all and to not have their sons on camera as well. Her sudden breakup with him was because there’s a chick on twitter named @missvibaby who OPENLY told Monica and the world while showing pics of her son that supposed to be by Rocko on twitter. Monica’s fans were saying he looks like Lil Rocko and he’s in between Monica’s kids. I think the baby made her say eat dust. Monica met Shannon at Love all over Me video and she released a very respectful statement about her break up with Rocko before she dropped everything to me which was prior to that (googles your friend lol) again though everybody that lives in Atl knows he was out of control. Now the tea he may spill is Monica fought strippers busted windows and all behind him. But one sight of Shannon she got over it. Rocko is arrogant and he’s like 4 11 lol and I heard he used to beat Monica but is that a shock he was arrested for hitting a girl in the club. This show is dumb it will bring all this back up. Rocko seems to be a very selfish person only cocerned with him, remember he said in his statement about Monica moving on and him not having the time to be concerned with others because he’s more concerned with himself, I’m sure that was a very true statement. If it wasn’t for Monica he probably wouldn’t spend time with his sons we know he’s not spending time with the 6yr old he has with MissViBaby who lives in Florida on twitter she said he will regret it one day not being a father to their son, that boy favors him thank goodness he also favors his mother he’s a cuttie. People think just because he places pics on Instagram when he has his sons by Monica he’s a wonderful father. @Dalia exactly true facts I live in Atlanta but I’m from Chicago I like Monica but that wasn’t quite the way that story went with regards to how Shannon and Monica hooked up… Shannon dogged his bm put her out 10 days after meeting Monica and it’s so much other stuff that’s comes along with that. Monica and shannon had a platform so anything his bm said made her look crazy because she didn’t have that and it’s so much other stuff I can say about that …… You get what you choose Rocko had a girl when Monica started taking 2 him that’s a fact he blasted her on that and I’m well aware of missvibaby yes he dogged her no doubts but she’s not innocent by a long shoot Monica oozes class and she’s gorgeous but I’ve seen the other side an associate of mine wouldn’t give Rick the time of day but Monica stalked harassed and tried 2 dig all kinds bullcrap about her …. Monica and Rocko broke up October/November 2009. Shannon and his baby mother had NOT been an actual couple since he was in college if people want to be technical. And they were NOT together when she became pregnant with his son. They were def not living together etc since April 2010. I will say this…Shannon loves that boy more than life itself.
And my opinion…I dont think Rocko should do the show..it is not going to help his album sales.

My cousin used to frequent Magic City when she was a waitress there, and I have a friend who was a dancer there as well..she is well known in Atlanta and Detroit for who she is and what she is about. She was always plotting to get with an ball player..she had her eyes on him when he was in college. She just flooded (and sometimes still does) the blogs etc so she will look as the innocent one. No one is perfect but she is FAR from it. And no she doesnt work and lives off the child support. Just know his son is WELL taken care of.
But back to the case at hand. I think at the end of the day, Rocko will do what is best for him and his "career." Which is sad, because while I dont think he owes anything to Monica at least he owes it to his kids. While we might all sit back and laugh..NO ONE would be okay if their kids father willingly went on a show as this one. And I think it is more than just to promote..I think he needs the money and wants the attention that comes with being on reality TV.

Monica lives in Arizona this year from what I was told. You don’t see her in Atl much anymore. Just because there’s no twitter announcement of it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I understood her permanently moving there last year because Shannon was on a one year contract and they signed him for 2 years at like 14 mill (7 a year) so they moved there. Who would snatch and move their kids temporarily or for a year. This was all on Suns.com sounds like facts lol
I understand Rocko cheated on Monica. I understand he use to sell drugs so the rumor mill says, but he doesn’t speak ill of her. He isn’t in and out of jail on and off drugs or spreading children all over. Future is his artist. Rocko has real estate and is doing we’ll for himself always have.
