Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta proudly poses with her new granddaughter in the newest edition of InTouch magazine.
The new Grandmommy recently revealed “Bri’asia” to the world, her 22-year-old son, Bryson Bryant‘s daughter that he had with girlfriend (new baby mama), Ashley Hill, 21 and she discussed how she felt about Bryson’s “secret” love child.

Nene on how she found out she was going to be a grandmother…
“I only found out about everything because I ran into Ashley when she was more than six months along,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star tells In Touch in an exclusive interview.
“I said, ‘You look pregnant.’ And she said, ‘Hasn’t Bryson told you?’ But he hadn’t because he knew that I wouldn’t approve of him having a child so young.”
“I didn’t feel like he was ready for such a big responsibility,” she says. “I was his age when I had him, so I know how tough it is. I didn’t want him to make the same mistakes that I did. I needed to let it sink in.”
The newest member of the Leakes’ clan, Bri’asia Bryant, was born in mid-June, and once Nene laid eyes on her new granddaughter her heart melted.
“I always wanted to have a girl,” she says, “and now I have one! She’s just adorable.”
NeNe also stepped up to the plate for her wayward son, who was actually in jail within weeks of his new daughter’s birth.

According to InTouch, Nene has done everything she can to make sure that her son’s girlfriend won’t have to struggle financially.
“I paid for everything in the nursery: the clothing, the diapers. I don’t want her to feel strapped,” she says — she’s gone completely “crazy” buying gifts for the baby, including “little dresses, sparkly headbands, and Gucci shoes … We just love her!”
Surprisingly, the 44 year old “Grandma,” also embraces the term, stating: “Forty is the new 30. I’m a sassy, fashion-forward grandma!”
While I agree Nene is a “sassy, fashion-forward” grandma… someone needs to tell her that Forty is still the same ol’ FORTY….

We heard about that baby a long time ago and so did lying Nene. Andy Cohen asked her on one of the shows. I think she was playing it off because Bryson was so inmature. She will baill him out of his responsibility of being a father like she bails him out of jail. That boy will never be a productive citizen. Nene don’t spend all your funds on the baby, I still want to see you buy a home or do something productive with that money other than buying materialistic things like clothes and shoes. Just saying!
I remember Andy asking Nene about Bryson being a father. It was on the season 3 reunion, part 2 if I’m not mistaken.

Beautiful child. I hate when people buy high priced clothes for very young children. They grow out it so quickly then parents get mad when they get the clothes dirty. Nene is not strapped for cash but it does not make sense when your child is Gucci down and you pull out your EBT card then get on the bus. When I was growing up my neighbor was a grandma at 29.
