Just hours after his release from jail on $2,500 bond, Johnson was unceremoniously cut from his position on the Miami Dolphins, and first year head coach Joe Philbin says it wasn’t this one incident that caused their decision.
“With any type of these decisions, it was not an easy one,” Philbin said.
“It was not reactive nor was it based on one single incident.”
Johnson was charged with simple domestic battery, a misdemeanor. The Dolphins have cleaned out Chad’s locker while his new wife may be preparing to clean out his pockets after she reportedly received stitches for lacerations received in the incident.
But was this all just reality show drama gone wrong? Peep game…
The confrontation came just barely a month after Johnson married Evelyn, who is “Basketball Wives” resident drama queen/bottle thrower.
The couple’s wedding is also set to be aired as a VH1 special called “Chad & Ev”
34-year-old Johnson had been battling for a spot on the Dolphins after a disappointing season with the New England Patriots in 2011 and was said to be in the best shape of his life and poised to rejuvenate his career.

During episode one of HBO’s “Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Miami Dolphins,” which first aired August 7th, Chad makes mention that he’s about to go get arrested…..
“Hey Stu… I promise I’m gonna get arrested while we’re off.”

Was this arrest merely coincidental? Did the stress and pressure of returning the field cause Chad to explode in anger?

I don’t know how to feel about this but when Jennifer was assaulted by her former friend Shaunie and Evelyn felt she should have never pressed charges, not that the shoe is on the other foot I see she was quick to call the police. They refused to cancel this garbage even after all the protests from evelyn’s on-air aggressive and violent behavior. They finally decided to pull it after she gets her head bust open. This is the same woman who jumped across a table to attack a cast mate and threw a plant at her. This is also the same woman who threw a wine bottle and a plate at another cast member’s head. She handles conflicts by bullying and attacking others. I don’t condone domestic violence but it’s obvious that evelyn stepped to the wrong person. In my opinion, she got exactly what she deserved.

Their publicity stunt worked because I have co-workers who kept saying for a whole month that they are not going to watch the show but now are saying they are going to watch to see if they see clues and signs of them fighting. I still think it was a stunt but they didnt plan on him getting arrested. How many times have we seen reality starlets fight and not get in trouble? BBW and Bad Girls Club come to mind.
