The term "taking him off child support" or "putting him on child support" cracks me up. Here is the midwest its moreso…"oh you paying child support!!" Also in my state once a parent is on it the order remains…you can request an increase or decrease depending on different factors but you cant just go to the court to take your childs father/mother "off child support" except in the case of a marriage but would it really matter then if the couple is together…I pray he is getting married to her for love and not for other reasons…it was THAT long ago that they were shooting this mess so either the Buckey stuff was just for TV or he was surpressing his feelings all along…
Less than a month ago he was boo’d up with Buckey. She had a new short weave/wig on. Not that long ago she was on Power 105.1 (NY) stating they are not together and co-parent. Marriage is supposed to be sacred not for TV. This is why I favor gay marriage because marriage means nothing anymore in America.
I’m not sure how the child support system works, but there should be a fee attached for women who want to "drop child support". Hell, those people are working on our tax dollars and when they chose to "drop he case" because June Bug then got back in their good graces we’re stuck with the bill for their services.

Seriously, I had an ounce of respect for Erica for being the only black educated woman with a college degree (I think) and a job on these reality shows. They [reality shows] are portraying black women so negatively as well as painting a tarnishing stereotype of black women in the minds of viewers across the nation. I was also raised by a single, black mother. This is why I was determined to be established and married before I began having children. I did not marry until I was age 30, had my first child at age 31, and just gave birth again 3 months ago at age 36. We need to instill in our children the importance of an education, having a stable career, and being married before bringing children into this world. Uneducated, young mothers and absent fathers are the primary reasons 70% of African-American children are born out of wedlock. This is a major contributor for the demise in the black community. I work with inner city youth as an educator, and it is very sad (to put it lightly) how majority of our children, especially young black boys, do not value their education and are very disrespectful towards their teachers, mothers, peers, and have no self-respect. I invite any of you to volunteer for a few days at an inner city middle or high school. You would be shocked at what you experience. Personally, I vowed to marry a man who was raised in a home with both his mother and father, who had NO children, and who had a college degree. I thank God everyday that I stuck to my standards, because he blessed me with a Real Man, wonderful husband, and a very responsible, hands-on father for OUR daughter and son.

However, what I surmise is that most opinions being shared about Erica is that she should not settle for a man who has constantly disrespected her and her daughter by openly cheating with other women and neglecting his financial responsibilities as a father. Again, I do think the way a man is raised impacts the type of husband and father he will become. That is why so many of our black men are absent from the homes in our community today.
