The Real Housewives of Atlanta mega star, who appears to have followed Mariah Carey’s digital diet, speaks about “Love, Luxury & Life” in the mag and is currently working as a cast member on NBC’s “The New Normal” but do you recall the tea I dropped last fall about Leakes taping her own spin-off show?

Well it appears my sources were right on the money last year (as usual)…. BUT don’t hold your breath. Nene’s RHOA spin off was derailed because she says she just wasn’t ready yet.

Word on the curb is that Nene was first up for an RHOA spinoff series and producers even gave it a name.
The show was to be called “I Dream of NeNe” and the producers of Real Housewives of Atlanta envisioned Leakes as the subject of he show back in 2011.
True Entertainment, LLC (the producers of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Kim Zolciak’s “Don’t Be Tardy” Spin Off) secured a patent for the new show back in March 2011.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a trademark for the “I Dream of Nene” project and documents reveal the trademark was issued for “entertainment services in the nature of a reality television series”.
The mark was issued around the same time that Atlanta news was claiming that Bravo was considering spinoff series for the cast RHOA members.
Leakes in February at the time said “I have had many offers since 1st season but it has 2 b the right thing.” In March, Leakes told followers that she had been offered a reality show but had turned it down. She said she had “been offered” a spinoff but prefers “acting & talk show hosting.”
And in case you were wondering where the name “I Dream of Nene” came from? Purportedly, Bravo entitled an October 2010 episode of RHOA with the same name.
So will I Dream of Nene ever be produced?
Because this trademark application is a “1B” type application aka “intent to use”, the trademark owner True Entertainment has to provide evidence of its use of “I Dream of Nene” in commerce in the coming months, or seek an extension from the Trademark Office.
If it doesn’t, then hopes for “I Dream of Nene” could be two blinks from disappearing into a bottle.
GLEE, The New Normal, The Real Housewives of Atlanta all have her schedule jam packed and I’m sure Nene has enough going on without the pressure of taping her very own reality show.

That high waisted mint colored skirt, along with the high waist slacks, look horrible on her. She did not pull those looks off. It doesn’t look like something she would really wear. The other two outfits were nice.
I am loving Nene’s newest Rental House! Even though she is my least favorite ATL housewife I have to admit she looks damn good these days and her photo shoot came out very well. PS I cannot stand the way the photographer talks, my pet peeve is when black people get nice professional jobs but want to talk hood like they are off the clock ugh.
