If you watch the fight scene carefully the one with Scrappy and Erica most women would have gone after the other woman while the men were fighting jose goes after Scrappy.
In all her scenes arguing with women jose is very careful to keep his hands to himself yet is very quick to attack the men. This recent fight with Steebie she beat him like a man even the protection had a hard time holding on to jose.
The other reason I think jose is a man is because strangley not one member of this cast has mentioned it on camera it is the first thing I would have said if I were Mimi. I think there must be some sort of gag order.
