“It’s about two gay guys who are partners for life and are looking for a surrogate,” she summarized. “I play Rocky, who is outspoken, sassy, holds her own.”
Leakes and the show have come under fire from a conservative activist group called One Million Moms, who say they believe the sitcom is anti-marriage.
When asked about the proposed boycotts, Leakes responded:

What I don’t like about her on other shows is that they don’t change anything about her. I am so tired of her with that loud scratchy voice. I don’t see the excitement in her. I think she is very materialist and childish. I think her son Byrson needs more attention and she wants to pretend she is a good parent. By now you would think she would have taken him to some type of counseling knowning her son was raised in an abusive home and his mom mouth is still abusive. She put him on that show and made him look like a whimp and now he is acting like one. No, I don’t think she did the best she could with her adult son, because sometimes we have to hold on to them a little longer when we know they have indured abusive things in the home.
