Nowadays just about everyone is seeking a bigger booty. But instead of lunges and squats, many women are opting to go the route of plastic surgery.
There are many professionals around who will plump up your derriere for a pretty penny, but many women opt to get the hook up on their procedures in hotel rooms and private residences.
April Brown chose the latter and it almost ruined her life. Brown, once a successful cosmetologist and fashion designer, received silicone injections in her buttocks, and now she lives as a double amputee.
“I got the butt implants five years ago,” said Brown. “For five years, I lived in pain. Excruciating pain.”
Brown, a mother of two, has had to have parts of all her four limbs cut off to save her life, after the unlicensed cosmetic procedures led to life-threatening infections.

Brown refused to identify the unlicensed practitioner who injected her “A”zz with silicone, however she admits it was her own lack of self-esteem that’s mostly to blame.
“They call it butt injections,” she says. “These things are done at pumping parties. They call it medical grade silicone but a lot of it is industrial grade silicone.”
Brown’s case resembles many other recent incidents. But Brown feels she’s a survivor, empowered by the words of loved ones who feared she would die.
Brown remains inspired even with the loss of her limbs. Now she feels that her new calling in life is as a motivational speaker, where she hopes to encourage other woman to feel better about themselves.
“We don’t validate each other,” she says. “We really don’t know how our friends feel about us, unless we have very expressive friends.” (source)
Good for her! It’s great that shes keeping a positive attitude after making such a dumb decision. Maybe Brown’s experience will prevent others from following the same path.

It is so sad that women will risk their lives to look a certain way. Be happy with what God gave you. So what if you do not have a big butt or big breast, work with what you got. Even people who go to real doctors have had complications from cosmetic surgery, and some have even died. What is the purpose of having a big butt when it could send you too a coffin where no one will see it anyway.
Why would anyone want to loook like one of those half man, half horse thingys.

Why someone wants to go around with some large behind is beyond me. There is nothing attractive about having a large behind bigger than the other parts of your body.

It ain’t worth it. As a dude, I never saw the point of it. I know a lot of guys that don’t find it attractive, and we can see right through it for the most part.
That’s great D.A., but the sad reality is that for every guy like you who likes a natural, God given body, there are 5 other dudes who will push you over to get to the Nicki Minaj type body. Society puts a TON of pressure on women.

First of all love yourself, not everyone is dealt a good hand. Secondly.. leran to work with what you have, and trust me you will love it. Third, when it’s not natural it just looks stupid!!!

I really feel bad for her, but common sense would tell you to go to a Certified Plastic Surgeon! I would never go to a "Pumping Party" to get Butt Injections, that just does not sit well with me. I have a couple of friends who opted to save their money and go the plastic surgeon route and they are fine! Just don’t try to take shortcuts for expensive procedures, because you usually end up maimed. I wish her the best of luck and I’m glad she is using her mishap to try to reach out to other girls!
This is a sad shame, man. I pray that this lady finds peace and we learn to love our God made butts.Leave well enough alone, because as you can see, it will cost you in the long run.

I look at my tummy and think about how I looked before starting a family, then I throw on the old girdle. I can afford to have a tummy tuck, but the risks are to great, and my girdle works just fine!!!

Well when you got to people who are not PROFESSIONAL this is what happens. Notice she said she went to some back alley doctor. Trina, Lil Kim, Kim Kardashyknees have all had ass injections for YEARS and have NEVER had complications. There is nothing wrong with surgical enhancements if thats whats going to make you more confident, but don’t pay somebody 1200 to do it and fuck you up if you can go to a doctor and have it done for 5000 and stay healthy… and don’t over do it!

I just don’t understand the literal stupidity involved with undergoing this procedure. Who in the hell lets someone inject ANY form of silicone into their body??? It poisons the bloodstream and will kill you. Silicone breast implants (which caused many an illness and some deaths) were encased in a saline bag so that the silicone would not come in contact with the body until they sprang a leak. Besides that, who gets a medical procedure done in a hotel room? I thought anybody who started smoking crack after 1985 was stupid, but this is ridiculous!
