The entire family has been keeping Kile lifted in prayer while holding vigil at Egleston Childrens hospital, where Kile has been since last Friday, when he was involved in a freak jet ski accident while floating on a raft on Lake Lanier.
As you know, Tameka and I haven’t always seen eye to eye but in times like this there is no room for shade or discourse. Regardless of how you feel about Tameka and/or Usher Raymond, some things are just off limits.
That being said, while there are rumors swirling that Kile was considered “brain dead,” no one in the family is willing to claim that diagnosis.
The family issued a brief official statement recently confirming that all is not lost and they are NOT giving up hope…
We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time.
We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.
Citing unnamed sources,TMZ was the first to report that Kile was brain dead after he and a 15 year old girl where hit by a jet ski while they were tubing on the lake.
Accuracy of the reports of Kile being “brain dead” have not been confirmed by the family and officials have declined to speak publicly about the child’s condition, citing privacy concerns.
The previously unidentified 15-year-old girl who was also injured in the accident, is the daughter of a friend of Toya Wright’s, who tweeted the following photo of the teen yesterday.
Jordan reportedly suffered a broken arm and a laceration on her head in the accident and is also being treated at Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
As far as the driver of the jet ski, it was a family friend, 38 year old Jeffrey Hubbard who was behind the wheel.
No charges have been brought against Hubbard in the accident and authorities say alcohol was not a factor.
Hubbard and the children tubing were part of the same group on an outing at the lake.
Just FYI – Kile’s father, Ryan Glover is a former executive of Turner Broadcasting. He is now president of Bounce TV, a new African-American television network. Creators and investors of the network include former United Nations ambassador and Atlanta mayor Andrew Young, Martin Luther King III and Rainforest Films’ founders Will Packer and Rob Hardy.
Let’s all continue to keep Kile and Jordan lifted in prayer in hopes that they will each make a full recovery from this unfortunate incident.

You need to do some research on exactly what brain dead means. That child is DEAD for all intents and purposes. He is being kept artificially alive by machines. If Tameka and his biological father do not or cannot make the call to remove the machinery, trust the hospital will do it for them. I’m disappointed in your sensationalistic lord ha mercy journalism on this one. When they do pull the plug, may it be peaceful and expedient. His angels wings are.waiting.
First of all we don’t know what their doctors are saying. They could be telling them that there is a chance. We don’t even know for sure if he really is brain dead…let’s not make assumptions through UNKNOWN SOURCES….

@ Marcus Welby: The hospital doesn’t make the decision to pull the plug, the family does. As long as they have the insurance/money to keep him on life support, the hospital will keep him on life support. This baby is 11 years old. If he awakens, he has his whole life ahead of him.
If it was my child, I wouldn’t pull the plug either. I would let him stay on life support at least a year or two or more (if I had the financial means). There have been multiple cases of people waking up after being diagnosed as "vegetables". This happened to a member of my home church. That gentleman went on to live another 12 or 13 years after that, and he had to have been in his 70′s when he finally passed away.
Everyone on this page- use this scenario as a good reason to draft a living will for yourself. If something like this ever happens to you, your family will know your wishes, i.e. resuscitation, life support, etc.
That hospital doesn’t have the choice; the parents do. You obviously don’t subscribe to the notion that faith can move mountains. Some people do. Is the fact that others believe like that of consequence to you?

@Marcus, I agree with you about there being little chance of Kile recovering. Had it been my child, I would have said goodbye and donated his organs, giving another child a chance at life. But, that’s the child’s father and mother’s decision to make. Not ours and not the hospitals. I’m certain Tameka has the necessary means to provide medical treatment for her son.

Kile reminds me so much of my own. as a mom, i pray for his recovery as well as that of the young lady also injured. my heart goes out to tameka at this time, i cant begin to imagine how she must feel so i pray for her strength as well so that she may remain strong for kile as well as his siblings.
I am in prayer for this entire family. This is an incredibly difficult decision for any person to have to make concerning their child. It is callous as hell to suggest what they should do or “should have” done. pray for their comfort and strength to endure regardless of the outcome.
Also in prayer for the man who is responsible for this accident. He will have to live with an incredible burden. I pray that the family ultimately forgives him.

^^^ :/ really touchy subject when it comes to someone on life support bc there are really two choices to make and both of them are unfavorable. doctors don’t always make the right diagnosis but they are not making the wrong ones either. Just keep their family in prayer and the politics that could factor behind it. We really don’t know what the situation is.

By claiming what the doctors say, your denying the LORD the chance to work a miracle AND get the glory plus giving up hope. Don’t claim it Tameka! I’m praying for this little guy andhis family that God will be with them through their time of need. I have faith that this little guy is going to pull though and be able to tell his story as an inspiration one day.
The young lady who was critically injured in that zip lining accident here in ATL a few weeks ago was given less than 10% chance to live by doctors. She went home last week. The power of prayer still and always has worked. Where the doctors can’t…GOD most certainly can. And if Kile doesn’t win this fight, it’s because the Lord said come home. I am prayinf that no matter what happens, God get every bit of the glory out of this. Whether it’s the baby making a full recovery, Lake Lanier providing more supervision and safety measures or all of the above. May God provide His perfect peace to this family!

As a mother, I won’t speculate on what I would or wouldn’t do. I know there have many times that I have done the complete opposite of what I thought I would do in a situation. Until you are faced with this very tragic and heartbreaking experience don’t say what you would do. It’s not that any of us praying are in denial it is just that we know and believe that GOD IS IN CONTROL. I for one will continue to pray that his will be done.

God has the last say and I’m a living witness to that as an infant shot at two months those doctors said but God said something else. Now I loathe TMsleeZy but those nosy people are the first ones who got it right on June 25, 2009. I’m not sure how they get their info but it seems they never sleep.
