Campbell rose to fame in the early 90′s with his double platinum selling album “I’m Ready” when he was on 16 years old.
To date, “I’m Ready” has been Tevin’s biggest selling album and many considered this album to be the pinnacle of his career.
With big names associated with with the project like Babyface, Johnny Gil and Prince, who was credited on the album as Paisley Park, Tevin’s 1st album turned out to be his most recognizable.

El Debarge lost his and got them back. But i guess with all the abuse they’re gone again. When Whitney was on tour,her voice and vocals were shot. She healed and even in her last album she wasn’t where she knew she should be. But if she had lived, with her determination, she would have proved to the world but more importantly,to herself that God’s treasure was still there. And EVERYONE will know when Sparkle comes out. Whitney wasn’t old,she wasn’t 50. Michael jackson’s voice didn’t change.Luther was 53 and still at his peak. Patti can sing every song she made as well as did when she was young.

I was NOT wrong to say that. If you play that song against the one he’s singing here, there is marked difference. Yes he still sings very well but had he stayed with his craft and not been overwhelmed with attitude, he would still have been in the game. This is the first time I understood you Gina. And you are on point as usual (without translater). You really took it to me and Tevi’s song is a classic. No one can sing that song better than he did. If his sending out this vid means he wants to hear our feedback, then he should be pleased. I’d love for him to give it "one more chance". Tevin DEFINITELY still has it! At 16 he didn’t know anything about anything, but at 36, he’s experienced life, love, hardships, etc. and his singing is not just "singing" — it’s MATURE and INFORMED. I thoroughly enjoyed the "20 years later" version! Hope TC records again and puts something out real soon.

Don’t know if anyone said this, but I think his first single was "Tomorrow" with Quincy Jones, and then he did a single called "Round and Round" off of the Graffiti Bridge sountrack. Tevin Campbell was a really good child singer, I’m glad he was a part of my youth!
