“I wasn’t checking for Vince at first. He and I were friends. But it wasn’t until I found out that he was seeing someone that it hit me.
I realized I had feelings for him! When he told me that his relationship at the time was coming to an end, I knew it was my time to make my feelings known.
After that relationship ended.. he and I started dating and eventually married.”

My sisters are my best friends for the most part but I’m also very close to Mary J Blige.
When Vince was in the hosptial she was so supportive. Mary and Kendu are the best. They made sure to check in on me and prayed with me for Vince’s recovery.
Mary is such a genuine and kind hearted person I’m blessed to be able to call her a real friend… Not an “industry friend.

This is so sad that this lady looks almost "yellow" and not a natural "yellow". I haven’t used that much make up in my life and I am a mature woman. I saw her picture today announcing her pregnancy and it was almost unsettling. She is not a pretty sight….I needed to let that out somewhere because I cannot believe what we have reduced ourselves to to think we fit in. It does NOT work. I’m mature with more than enough hair of my own and no make-up but some would think less of me because I’m not wigged or weaved up. The tides have truly changed. Whether she hates herself or not, I don’t know & honestly don’t care. No, she was never "dark", nor was she this late. Another thing, my oldest son was born with blonde hair & guess what, he’s still blonde. Tamar wasn’t born with any blonde in her hair, nor was she born with that nose! If I recall, during one of the episodes, Tracy called her out and her comment was she paid too much for her face to ruin it fighting. So she has openly admitted that she’s had work done. Thing is, she went overboard! Hell, Toni has even had a nose job- look at her first album cover and them the last. A lot of women aren’t born with, brown, blonde, or jet black hair. You weren’t born with lipstick, nail polish, piercings, and so on. And actually she had surgery on her nose due to problems breathing from her nose, several times. And it’s the same surgery that She, Toni, and their father had. If you see their family pictures when she was a child, she is even lighter. Whether she bleaches her skin or not, it’s her choice. But she said she doesn’t bleach her skin, and I’m sure she wouldn’t lie about that. Because it’s her life, and her choice. Also, you can not tan BLEACHED skin. Tamar tans often to be Darker. There’s nothing wrong with African American hair in it’s natural state if u know how to care for it & style it. Doesn’t mean you will look like Miss Celie! Black self hate is real but I won’t automatically assume she suffers from it. I wear weaves all the time because my hair fell out on top from alopecia. I would be annoyed if ppl assumed I hate being Black just because I wear weave. I think Tamar’s complexion is wrong shade of makeup packed on. However, she seems to have issue with getting "too dark" judging from her comments about avoiding sun,tanning too long,"Brownies". We are cute in all complexions. I agree with you Diane. Black people put too much emphasis on complexion. Just because a person has light skin doesn’t make them any prettier than a person with dark skin. I have 2 boys who have different complexions. My youngest asked me a few years ago why he was not "bright". I explained to him that there was nothing wrong with his complexion and that he’s still mine and I love him the same as I do my oldest. Truth be told, my youngest is more handsome in my opinion, but I keep that to myself.
