Wilson had been fighting stage 4 cervical cancer and Shar Jackson, who starred alongside the talented actress on MoEsha was among first the share the news online yesterday.

According to NewsOne, Wilson was not only battling cancer but had also been plagued with kidney problems and was in need of a kidney transplant as well.
Friend Jeffrey Pittle, a stage 4 cancer survivor himself, created a website for Wilson, so that people could donate money for not only her medical needs but also help with any transportation costs that are associated with her getting to various medical facilities.
To date, the site had raised $13,599 of the $25,000 they were seeking — or 54 percent. The fundraiser ended June 9, 2012.
As previously reported by NewsOne, Wilson is the fifth tragedy that has occurred from the “Moesha” show:
Star Brandy Norwood struck and killed a woman with her vehicle. Merlin Santana, who played Moesha’s first boyfriend, “Ohaji,” was only 26 years young when he was shot dead in California as he sat in the passenger seat of a car. Mac, who had the recurring role of “Uncle Mitchell” and was Andell’s boyfriend, died in 2008 from complications of pneumonia. The ever-popular “Hakeem,” Moesha’s sidekick who was played by Lamont Bentley, was killed in a car crash more than 6 years ago.

Oh rest in peace and may God be with your family. I am sitting here so saddened by this. I heard she was hit financially too and could not afford to pay her hospital bills. God is with you now sista! Thank you for the laughter.
May her soul rest in peace, praying for her family..so sad.

Fucked up cus Monique and the rest of them bitches could have helped financially
i agree 100%
I agree with @JustMe,Monique and Brandy could have gave her the 46% to make her quota of $25,000. Damn shame how rich people don’t look out for one another, but will waste $10,000 (Ludacris,Lil Wayne in a freaking strip club….smdh!
Dag i was just watchin the Parkers thinkin where has she been lately

My prayers goes out to her family….That is so sad
May she RIP
I want to know why there wasnt no $ raised when she was sick or why she didnt get no support and i wasnt even aware that she was sick … that sucks #cancersucks
I am not even going to point fingers at two of her co-star but damn why is it when you are sick you know whom your REAL FRIENDS are?
RIP Actress Yvette Wilson.
@Duane Harris I agree, its some many of her Co-stars as well as other famous ppl out there that could have come in and helped it’s ridiculous. Ppl are very selfish and all about theirselves.
wow so sad to hear this !!
Sad news..
Wow so sad!!!
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!! Andelle??????
May her soul now fine the peace that God has awaiting. I can certainly relate, my mom fought stage III breast cancer for 11 months and has since expired. I quit my job to care for her and let me tell you, it is suffering beyond any measure, wished on noone! Mama called on Jesus to come see about her and I prayed to him to come take her away….it was just that bad! I’ve nightmares most nights still hearing my mother cry out for mercy, in so much pain. Don’t think I’ll ever be the same. May strength find the family of Yvette Wilson, and all others who are suffering or know of someone suffering from cancer…..including me and mine.
"find"
god bless you pat …sorry that you and your mom had to endure the hurt…rip to her
RIP Madame
RIP Ms Wilson gone to soon Daaaammnnn
I was just thinking about her the other day- so sorry this is how it ended. Very sad about this- life is so damn short and unfair!!!! We better enjoy everything worth living for
OMG R.I.P Ms Wilson you will truly be miss and your funny wits so sorry to hear of this loss.
RIP!Saw her in Friday earlier this week…feeling pretty sad now.Hmmm…loved Yvette on all of the shows she appeared in as Andell/Rita in Friday. As Donny sang so eloquently,"Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal."He and Roberta Flack sang that song.
Pat, I know it gets hard, but I pray you find the peace that passes all understanding.Peace Be Still.
r.i.p Ms. Wilson, I never met you in person, but you seem like a sweet person, may you rest in peace, my prayers go out to Ms. Wilson family and friends. I know the cast of the parkers is devastated by this news.
I send out my regards too Yvette Wilsons family and to the cast of the parkers and all of her close friends may u R.I.P. BABY I will miss u very much u was the best on the parkers I will definitely miss u love u yvette
MAY THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD TAKE THIS DEAR SISTER IN HIS EMBRACE AND TAKE HER HOME FOR QUIET. THE PAINS OF LIFE ARE OVER — NOW REST IN THE THY MASTER’S JOY……….PEACE.
May god bless your family,Yvette is at peace now ,no sorrow ,no more pain, she’s with our lord and savior now .
I agree! Monique could’ve helped cap the donations at the very least. If you look at Moniques tweets she doesn’t even seem impacted by her death. No signs of saddness or at least condolences. She told one person "You deal with things your way and I’ll deal with mine my way…do you baby". Just weird to me. All of the other cast members at least posted a condolence message or tweeted about how they were saddened by her loss. Monique just seems to be only out for Monique. Thats why your show was cancelled. Pay it foward and blessings come. Nothing good prospers from selfishness. Shar Jackson was supposedly her best friend and is really taking her death hard. So my prayers go out to Shar and the Wilson family. R.I.P Yvette.
R.I.P Yvette Wilson, you’ll be deeply missed!
She had the most beautiful natural hair I’ve seen on a woman. Even though I wear two strands myself, I could never get mine to look as pretty as hers. An absolutely beautiful lady, and talented comedianne. RIP, Janet Jackson!! (Friday)
to the family of yvette wilson i too will miss our actor and actress andell wilkerson aka,for her beautiful smile and her many parts she appeared on television we need to be mindful about others income in talking about what you think her co-workers could have done in supporting her bills what have you done.god called her home and there are nothing we can do about it be thankful we had a great black actor to see on bet
This is very sad,so many great black actors/actresses gone so soon..Thanks Ms.Wilson for all the laughs.May God Bless Your Soul..PEACE BE STILL..
R.I.P (ANDELL) YVETTE WILSON.
its really a shame that everyone who claimed to be yevette wilson’friend could’nt step up to the plate to help a sick woman who might have had a chance to live and what’s really sad is none of her socalled friends went to the media to xpress their lost of a real friend to the local news but"" that’s the way black people who have money and power are and forget where they come from candance vaugh, monique ,dorin wilson ? even if you guys were not close friends god would have blessed you for helping a costar that you use to work with you black stars today are no different than these young kids in the streets you stars should take time to think about that we as black people in any life style that we choose to live should really focus on respect its your choice to pick your friends true enough but don’t get it twisted you’re no bigger than no one else
Rest in peace Yvette, you left a bright mark in our lives with your humility and joyous laughter.
I am so sad to hear this news she was lovely at what she did. I wish I would have had the funds myself to help her. I would have.
