Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta participated in the 2012 LA Gay Pride Festival yesterday (June 9, 2012).
Leakes, who recently hosted a “tea party” in Atlanta for her fellow RHOA cast mates (including newbie Kenya Moore), seems to be further separating herself from her bff Martavious Marlo Hampton and her F-Bomb faux pas by getting involved in a few “gay friendly” activities.
The “happily divorced” housewife even stopped by the NoH8 booth, where she posed for photographer Adam Bouska to add her portrait to his NoH8 campaign, founded to battle homophobia and gay rights.
Many of Nene’s RHOA cast mates (past and present) participated in the NoH8 campaign a few years back, but it took a bit of bad press by association PLUS the decline of her gay fan base to prompt Nene to pose as well.

Nene dropped an “F” bomb of her own a few weeks ago when asked about her character for the comedy sitcom ‘The New Normal’ on the red carpet of the upfront presentation for NBC, stating:
“I’m Rocky, one of the gay guy’s assistants. I take it very personal, honey, if you talk about my gays, honey. Only I can talk about them and I’m fabulous.”
And “Fabulous” she is! My instinct is telling me that this will be Leake’s last season on the housewives, especially if that NBC project goes well.
Nene goes on to say to you don’t mess with her gays on or off television…
She’s very different from Roz Washington on Glee. [Roz] is always in workout outfits and sneakers.
Rocky wears high heels every day. This is very fitting for me because in my real life, you don’t mess with my gays, honey. I don’t play that.
I hope to stay on Glee, I hope to still be a Housewife and I hope to do ‘The New Normal.’ I just want to do it all! Why not? I’m only going to be young for a little while longer. (source)
Love her or hate her you can’t deny that Nene is out running just about everyone… even in 6 inch Louboutins!

I will miss nene if she left rhoa!! Many people say she has out grown the show but i feel that that is nene show and she belongs there….they can cast beyonce on the show and nene would out shine because the fit is just so perfect just my opinion…nene needs to stay to the end

I loooove Nene. Have been a fan since the first episode of the first season of RHOA. I always wondered why she hadn’t done a NO8 campaign earlier….I don’t think she’s doing one now because Marlo used the "F" word while refering to SheHe’s gay friend. Get it Ms. Leakes! She’s the only Housewife of any series that I like. Nene is who she is and doesn’t pretend to be anything else, and it has gotten her the furthest out of all of the RHOA castmates.

NeNe has fully engulfed herself into the homosexual lifestyle. I am not spreading hate but it’s not normal to be homosexual. It is abnormal thinking to want to be sexually with someone who is the same sex as you.
