Former Atlanta radio personality Elle Duncan has alway been my favorite on-air personality. Back when I had a “real job” I’d often listen to Elle and Ryan Cameron in the afternoons during my long commute home.
In 2009, after on-air personality Porsche Foxx was involved in a ton of drama, Elle was shifted to mid-days, holding down her own segment until she moved to the Frank & Wanda Morning Show as a sports reporter.
It was Elle’s youthful personality that brought the old school morning show out of the ice ages and into the New Millineum.

Especially after the departure of Miss Sophia… (But I digress!)
Duncan’s morning show stint ended March, 2011 and she returned back to Cameron’s show to the delight of fans but beef with a catty fellow employee (Nina Brown), cause a rift between the morning and afternoon teams that was irreparable.
Nina got the boot… and months later, Duncan also quietly disappeared from the air, with many wondering… WTF?!? Now for the good news…
My radio friend has been officially upgraded to television!
I don’t often blog about radio stuff, but Elle has always been a supporter of StraightFromTheA and as y’all know… I proudly support those who support me!
Elle hit the tweets early yesterday to reveal her new gig, where she’ll be working at my favorite local television affiliate, WXIA – 11-Alive.
Elle will be providing traffic updates on WXIA’s morning show alongside another one of my favorites, Karyn Greer.
One thing I can say about Karyn is that she’s always helping someone in this city take the next step!
Just FYI, Karyn lent a hand to Nina Brown after she was terminated as well, although things didn’t quite work out for Brown at the station. I heard that Brown is now working as a hostess at her former boss, Frank Ski’s new restaurant.

So now that y’all finally know what happened to radio personality Elle Dawnnnkin, you can stop asking me!

I remember when Elle and Nina got into it….VERY MESSY lol….I also remember when Nina went to 11 alive last year and "mysteriously" left saying she was moving on to something else “bigger” but wouldn’t specifically say why or where she was going, IMO TV wasn’t her strong front anyway she didn’t "jell" in that environment. I assumed Nina was a manager or became a part owner at that restaurant b/c I see all the tweets with her there and I refuse to believe she left cooperate America to be a hostess at a bar nope I refuse lol…maybe Nina is on a journey to "find herself" lol….Congrats to Elle!
I’m so happy to hear this. I miss Elle on the radio with Ryan. She is great at what she does and I could often relate to her comments and opininons on the radio. I will definitely be watching Elle on 11Aive.

So let me get this straight??? Nina Brown was fired for arguing over some leftover Sweet Potato Pie at the company Pot Luck and now she is a hostess at a restaurant? Mmmph….

Good for her…I thought her show was good on V103, not sure why they removed her from midday.
People says she had a bad attitude but she was a friend of mine on FB and was friendly…I think she gets the typical hate from Black women because she is a LSLH.
I like Elle too Michelle. I’m happy she got away from V103. Nothing but messiness and pettiness up at that radio station. So congrats to her.

I heard Nina Brown couldn’t stand Elle because she was young and pretty and Nina looks o_O I’m not saying she’s ugly but she ain’t young and pretty! the real tea is Nina playing hostess at her boyfriend’s restaurant! How does his wife Tanya feel about that? Wasn’t she and FrankSki doing the do while she was producing the morning show? I heard Miss Sophia’s contract wasn’t renewed because she knew the deal and had been gossiping about Frank and Nina’s relationship.

Wait! Frank Ski was sampling her TOO? I heard there is also some irrelevant actress around town that is trying to get pregnant by Ski. Damn, he is gettin git in if all these rumors have merit.
Congrats to Elle! You are so wrong about Nina Brown. Frank Ski called her on air one day to talk about something that happened at the restaurant. She is the manager of Frank Ski’s restaurant. She is the night time manager.

I heard that Ms. Sophia didn’t get along well with Ski and that Wanda eventually fell out with him because she so busy sucking up to Ski.

Frank Ski is a super whore. He’s been around the A sleeping with different women for a long time now and if you don’t sleep with him he will stop following you on Twitter. (LOL) Not only is Ski fucking women I heard that he is also hard on the down low scene too and I believe it!
Congrats Elle. I really would like to see Elle doing Sports on ESPN, Sports center. She needs to tone the voice and loudness down with a little more class. The girl is good with sports.
